Quickest way to delete the majority of webpages, but not entire site.

I am going to try to delete 80% of my web pages urgently, as I have suffered massive Google penalties from them.

What is the best way to do it, the only link I found was to delete them one by one.

I have three possible options I'd like anyone to answer any of them. if you only know one answer, please share!

How do I do any of the following:

    1) Surgically delete large amounts of pages at a time

    2. How to delete my entire site's pages (not the site itself) and start from scratch? Presuming backlinks, domain age, etc all stay in tact, and when it recrawls will the penalty be gone? (assuming it is an automatic penalty)

    3) Will updating a robots.txt blocking the problem pages make any difference?

Thank you all for your time.

Static pages change be deleted in blocks by simply login in via FTP and selecting more than one page at a time using shift or ctrl and clicking on them, hitting delete and confirming.

Directories must be empty before they can be deleted via FTP in most cases.

You can do the same thing via file manager in cPanel.

Database pages will be one at a time unless you scripts have a mass delete function.

Edit: cPanel method uses a recycle bin type style and with FTP when you delete they are gone forever.

That's NOT what I meant to ask. I've already DELETED the pages. I was tired at that time, and must've not realized how I worded it. This is in the google section for a reason!

I'm asking how to delete my pages FROM google's records, I should've clarified better for those who don't bother to read the whole post. I've already deleted them off my website. Sorry everyone for the misclarification, reading my post over, I can see how it could be misconstrued.

I mean, how to delete my pages from Google's records in BULK, not just one at a time.

My three questions, reworded now that I'm sober and awake, are thus:

    1) How to surgically delete large amounts of pages FROM GOOGLE'S INDEX all at one time

    2) How to delete my entire site's pages (not the site itself) FROM GOOGLE'S INDEX and start from scratch? Presuming backlinks, domain age, etc all stay in tact, and when it recrawls will the penalty be gone? (assuming it is an automatic penalty)

    3) Will updating a robots.txt blocking the problem pages make any difference? Will Google remove them from the index quicker?

I've already deleted the problematic pages. I just need to find a way to remove them from the results more quickly I think. If there's some way to delete hundreds of pages from google's index quickly, then someone please tell me.

Use robots to block SE's access to those deleted folders / files and fill a URL removal request in Google Webmasters Tools.

Should I do this for each individual page (cuz that's tens of thousands among the three) ? Or the entire site? Seems my best bet was blocking with robots.txt and waiting. I already did that 24 hours ago.

I've already seen results within 1 day, it appears 800 of the penalizing pages have disappeared from one of them (out of 3,700 yesterday), and I've started to get my google traffic back, though it is a mere 5% of what it once was, better than the 0.2% of the past few days...

So at this rate it should only be a few days before all the penalizing pages are gone, and I'll see if the penalty disappears along it them. Thanks for the help everyone, I'll keep ya posted on the results.
