I am new into developing sites to make money. I already have 2 personal blogs where I earn bit from writing and ads. I have several domain ( fashion/women, health waiting to be developed. Some IT niches are highly profitable, adult, promotional items. Well, plenty. What I would do if I were you - I would buy a domain and .name domain zone. Make it short though.
Ok I do have a health domain already , golf I dunno anything about it. What about technology or make money wth blogging niche?
You should probably research a certain subject or keyword and see what is popular and what is not as popular and pick the in between.
Many tried going this route and failed. I would suggest going into a niche you like to write about, assuming you don't have money to pay writers. There are money in every niche, if you put effort into it!

Health, adult, gambling, travel, law, finances. All of these can earn you a lot if done right. I'm sure there are many more.
There are no good or bad niches. There are products that sell and products that don't sell. It's all about being creative and having a product people would kill for. That's all.
Why not try some thing new for example affiliate selling/dropshiping? It can earn more money that writing. And just to let you know that money making niche is already saturated and it not worth doing it.
I agree. Do a favor for all of us and don't go to that. Like already said, there are plenty of profitable niches. First do some research with Google Trends, for example. If you focus long enough on your niche it will pay off if you know what you're doing. For more specific answer we should know what are your competences and interests.
Well I have been blogging for almost a year now, I mostly write about family life, expatriation, and women talk. I managed to get Pagerank for two of my sites I am concentrating on ,and think due to that or with the help of pagerank I have earned a couple of hundreds ( which I am going to use to buy me a Nikon D60 by writing some paid posts. I speak english and dutch fluently. I have lived in Holland for several years and now currently here in Singapore. I like to tweak templates but haven't really dived into making my images or so. I have many interest and wants to do alot of things which makes me a little bit chaotic. I wanna do everything at the same time - I know not good. Let me tell you the truth is whatever is profitable have a lot competition. The better way to find out some new niche and product and play with them, don't follow what everyone doing. All niche are good if you put efforts.

I can tell you right now that none of us would get much more than 50 cents for any of those, and the majority would get less than 20 cents per click, then even less of the majority would get less than 2 cents per click. Now back to the topic, do what you do best and create a site around that, before you get into a niche make sure you know what you are doing and you know how to promote that niche online - these are good tips and I didn't want to repeat the above tips - already mentioned.

Not meanng to use a worn out phrase, but "find your passion" and focus on developing a site around it. An important key to online site profitability is to research keywords, competition, and the market BEFORE you put up your site. I learned that lession the hard way. Lots of luck.
I would only ever write about something I'm interested in. I'm convinced a webmaster's lack of interest shows through in their writing, and even if you're a good writer, there will come a point when you run out of motivation. It might not be popular for me to say this, but it shouldn't always be just about money. Cliche? Maybe, but look at all the successful blogs/sites. You can always tell that the writer cares. I don't deny that you can make a quick passive income by picking a profitable niche: i've even advocated it in an article, but assuming you want long term results (can I assume this?) pick a long term topic.
