Reasons for (lately) ZERO clickthrus in Ezine Articles when using same resource box?

I've been using the same resource box basically for months, and I always did pretty well and usually got a 20% CTR. Only until recently did I glance at my stats and notice that I'm getting the same number of views as per usual, but 0 clicks on many of my articles. I've had about 150 views on 5 articles and about 7 clicks. This is getting sad, what gives if I've never changed anything??

It's hard to say without seeing your article and resource box. My guess would be that since you mentioned that your resource box is the same, maybe your resource box doesn't flow with your poorly performing articles?

I know the reason for this since I've seen the same many times. It's all about where your article is on the list. If your article is on top of the list as compared to other articles on ezinearticles then you will get a higher ctr simply because users are fresh and they click through.

Whereas when your article is further down the list and on the 3rd or the 4th page...The user has already viewed so many articles and is just browsing through as much info as possible. Where he is not that much interested in reading further as he has already read more than enough.

But if your article hits the search engines then you will get a high CTR for sure.

Guest blogging is the solution. Write good stuff and post it on high PR blogs. That works more than submitting to ezine articles.

Hmmm... that seems like a good thing to do as long as the blog links are 'do follow' and/or the blog itself gets high traffic.

It wouldn't matter if the blog is dofollow. You want the clickthrough more than the link juice.
