I sell renewable energy products online (solar panels, inverters, etc) and I am having the hardest time coming up with links. Other than social bookmarking websites, I don't know where to find links, let alone quality ones! I can't call up my competitors and ask them to exchange links... that would be bad on many levels... I was thinking about creating a solar industry blog and generating traffic + ranking that way, but still that would not enable me to rank well for specific products... Any ideas? How does an online store generate links...
try the following sites : article submission [ezinearticles.com.goarticles.com,articlebase.com] hubpages squidoo you might also try creating free wordpress blogs and blogspot blogs and link from there. just make sure that your link sources are different - this is very important.always have it in your mind .
Piece of cake.... Read these post posts and post a comment. These will be dofollow backlinks. http://howtosplitanatom.com/ideas/solar-paneled-race-car-with-1800-mile-range/ http://www.newhomessection.com/blog/tag/solar-panels-in-fontana/ Do not be stupid and spam the sites! Don't include additional links in the comment and don't try to promote your products specifically. Simply add a little value or insight on solar panels and it should get approved. You can rinse and repeat this process on any niche with this backlink tool. I simply typed "solar panels" into the search box. Enjoy.
There are a TON of green eco blogs out there right now, it's a huge niche. Have you tried approaching any of them? There are many different ways these webmasters can aide you in building backlinks. If your products really ARE better than the competitors, getting them to write about you shouldn't be that hard. And if they aren't, you can always "help" their opinion with a little bit of money... Good luck, and don't be afraid to just ask for a link. The green/eco type of person will usually go above and beyond for their belief and not think twice about promoting green products.
Have you tried a link broker? That's your best bet if I was you I would use a combination of contextual blog links with link rentals. Stay away from Free Directories and Oversea links they are all junk. They won't do anything for you.
try to look for niche blogs, and ask the blog owners if you can write an article on their bog. of course you place your link in that article
I have created a backlink report for you, let me know if this helps? http://www.howtorankhigh.com/seo-spy-service.html .
The blog sounds like a good idea so you can catch the low hanging fruit. You could also try outsourcing linking, perhaps blog comments.
Thank you very much for going out of your way to do this. It helps me a lot! While EcoMall is in the renewable industry, a stronger competitor of mine would be Mr.Solar . com, or Wholesalesolar . com. I am thinking it would be much easier to get a blog to write an article about a stylish 100% renewable chair or table than it would be to write an article about a 7,000 watt inverter SMA Inverter. Yeah, this is a really hard niche Awhile ago I did something similar on MrSolar . com and a lot of the websites they get backlinks from look like giant link farms, I don't think I was able to find a legit link. I'm definitely taking all of your advice to heart! Thanks so much for helping. Also, based on the report you did for EcoMall, not a single one of their backlinks had optimized Anchor Text. If I recall correctly, an unoptimized backlink has a much smaller weight than one that has your target keyword in the Anchor Text, correct?
AJO, That was the time when anchor text worked like miracles. Remember you can Google the "miserable failure" and it leads to... Anyway, those days are gone. You can read more regarding "Google Bomb" or "Google Bomb Operation" search term or read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb This site actually ranks high for the following keyphrase too: I will suggest you focus more on how to get the backlinks as ecomall does. It has gathered sufficient backlinks over the years and become an authority site in Google eyes.
Here you go: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=link+building+ideas Proper onpage SEO, some nice domain, a few thousands directory submissions and article marketing + a few quality backlinks (you will have to pay for them) will get you in top 10 for quite a lot of keywords.
building links wil help you more........ as of you are thinking to create a blog....thus this would be a very good idea and after creating blog try to comment on other blog so that you get inbound links from there as well. then build links through article submissions, forums, directories, press release, social bookmarking, exploring your website ideas thru social networking websites.
