NEED help made the wrong chmod command and now no access?

    how can i remove all chmod on my home directory? any ideas would be appreciated ty

    i used these commands accidentally used it on the wrong section :S

    chmod 755 *

    chmod 644 *

    that's chmod to all file and folder.
    You can chmod again for it by your hand. Folder = 755 and file is 644.

    Which type hosting you use? Linux with cpanel or plesk?

    A superuser needs to reset the permissions via sudo/equivilent.

    Chances are you'll need to contact your hosting provider and have them do it.

    You can use File Manager or Plesk Manager to process chmod apply to file and folder
    You can also use SSH to chmod file, type help on SSH Command to view more commandline.

    i got it guys i did 777 to allow permission and it has been working sinse ty

    I never recommend to set 777 permissions to all the files and folder. It may open back doors for hackers. Most scripts run fine with 755 permissions. Assign 777 permissions to the required files and folders only.
