The biggest mistake that I made was believe that by buying a simple $5-20 eBook that I could suddnely turn that into $1,000s in a matter of weeks with no effort. It's incredibly easy to get caught up in the 'romance' of becomming financially independent and not having to go to an office for a living but 9/10 the people here will have a day job too and are trying to supplement that. Second biggest mistake was thinking there is still a large amount of people wanting to buy two word domain names that don't really make much sense when you think about them
Well.. there's quite a few but the one I think about the most is my database back in the day for a link directory system that was earning quite nicely. Didn't back up, got hacked, whole link database wiped
3 words- Pay Per Click Advertising Well, I guess that's 4 words. If you don't do ppc right, you will gamble all of your money away. You might as well just gamble!
Starting too much at once! Buying 30 domains because you have ideas for all of them. Then not developing them because you started too much at once. Start one or two, get them going so you can coast, then start more if time permits. I still have to learn from my own advice.
My biggest mistake is that i kept my funds in Paypal for a long time and don't spend anything, and Paypal locked it.
My biggest mistake was making myself involved in dealing with a product, instead of getting affiliated and sleeping well. I needed to pay for a warehouse, for loading/unloading, clearance events etc. I've learned my lesson and will never deal with a product again.
I've made plenty. I've tried every strategy under the sun, as as many in this forum, didn't stick to one and focussed on making it work. I'm getting there though. Some big steps in the last few months.
My biggest mistake ever and was on-going upto about 1 year ago is putting too many irons in the fire until I put the fire out. The key to my success is running with 1 good project and over-coming obstacles along the way. The only way that I can be sure I will reach success is to chase the goals and constantly find ways over the hurdles that keep me from the short term goals. Keep the short term goals in line with the long term goals and you are assured success eventually. Set some time lines and then you might even know when you will reach the success you desire.
I finally had to realize that I need to quit trying to chase every opportunity under the sun and focus on one idea only. There are millions of ways of trying to make cash on the INternet. But it truly takes hard work to focus on one idea and making it grow from there.
my biggest mistake was not knowing what is the right approach to link building.I always concentrated on reciprocal links - so it was harder to get them. But one day i learnt that one way links are the best - and i rectified my mistake.
My biggest mistake was when I was making tons of money few years ago, more than $20K/mth, I thought this income will last forever and thus I did not bother to find other income sources, and thus when this program crashed, I was badly hit, from $20K/mth income to practically nil income.
