Let me put it this way. You will never come "face to face" with a Moose. Depending on how tall you are, you might reach the knee cap. People do not realize how big these animals are until you are in close contact with one. I'd feel more comfortable around a Hippo or Buffalo than a Moose. They are HUGE!!!! The rack on the one we almost hit had to be 7' across.

Yeah right. Size isn't everything. Wild buffaloes are one of the most dangerous animals in Africa. Moose are rather docile in normal situations.
