A lot has been said about Israel. And I am surprised, really and truly surprised, that no one has managed to look at the big picture. The rise of radical Islam. I've mentioned often in my posts that the rise of radical Islam is the biggest threat to non-Muslims and moderate Muslims in this world. But whatever I thought of penning down has been done already by one Mr. Mark Steyn. So, I'll allow him to take over. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZjkwNjVlNmE5MWUyOTVhMWIyODkzNWNlZGM1YjU2Zjc= "In Toronto, anti-Israel demonstrators yell “You are the brothers of pigs!â€, and a protester complains to his interviewer that “Hitler didn’t do a good job.†In Fort Lauderdale, Palestinian supporters sneer at Jews, “You need a big oven, that’s what you need!†In Amsterdam, the crowd shouts, “Hamas, Hamas! Jews to the gas!†Tells a lot about the true intentions of the protesters, doesn't it? "The Guardian reports that Islamic non-extremists from the British Muslim Forum, the Islamic Foundation and other impeccably respectable “moderate†groups have warned the government that the Israelis’ “disproportionate force†in Gaza risks inflaming British Muslims, “reviving extremist groups,†and provoking “UK terrorist attacks†— not against Amy Winehouse’s record producer and other sinister members of the International Jewish Conspiracy but against targets of, ah, more general interest." Britain - What can I say? It's about time your leaders thought of the dire consequences of this. "For the purposes of comparison, let’s take a state that came into existence at the exact same time as the Zionist Entity, and involved far bloodier population displacements. I happen to think the creation of Pakistan was the greatest failure of post-war British imperial policy. But the fact is that Pakistan exists, and if I were to launch a movement of anti-Pakism it would get pretty short shrift." This is a question that has been lingering in mind for a long time. And finally, here's a sweet little transcript of what happened during the recent Mumbai attacks in India. “Pakistan caller 1: ‘Kill all hostages, except the two Muslims. Keep your phone switched on so that we can hear the gunfire.’ “Mumbai terrorist 2: ‘We have three foreigners, including women. From Singapore and China.’ “Pakistan caller 1: ‘Kill them.’ “(Voices of gunmen can be heard directing hostages to stand in a line, and telling two Muslims to stand aside. Sound of gunfire. Sound of cheering voices.)†I rest my case people. And FYI, this will remain my last post in this section for some time. I'm going to take a break. Not that any of you are going to miss me or anything, but just wanted to tell you. Ever since Israel started attacking Hamas, there has been an influx of extremists in this section. Subsequently, there is little room left for sane, intelligent, logical discussion. So, see you later. Ciao.
Quick! Israel should kill more Palestinian kids! That would calm down radical Islam... Get a better glasses and maybe you will see big picture...
Big picture? I thought that picture, what you described above is already 24/7 on CNN I would not call it big.
But...But it's the religion of peace! It's probably Zionists masked as muslims to make a bad name for islam! Yes! I think i'm on to something big here!
I agree with you Contentedge. Islamic extremism, from fundamentalist religeous leaders on the one hand, and from Palestinian leadership groups that have endlessly chosen fighting over peace has been the undoing of the middle east for decades. It is currently the greatest danger in the world. Consider, since the establishment of Israel in 1948 (60 years) certain nations and portions of the world have surged with regard to economic and human development. The far east, represented by Japan, South Korea, more recently China, Vietnam have all seen extraordinary economic growth....none of those nations blessed with the riches of oil like the middle east. Meanwhile the Middle East, the Arab population has been overwhelmed and been stuck on fighting the Israel/Palestinian thing for decades. The lands are stuck with monolithic kingdom's, tyrannies, and governments that have restricted human growth. The region has spawned the growth of extremist religeous groups who kill and murder throughout the world. They have taken their hatred through India, Western nations and are routing native Africans in North Eastern Africa, all in the name of fundamentalist Islamic beliefs. The Arab world screams on behalf of Palestinians, but in 60 years has done nothing for the Palestinians, relegated them to abondonment, enabled the rogouish Palestinian leaders to survive. Now the more moderate Islamic (and Arab nations) fear the problems of extremism. Its sad that so many Palestinians are dying. How many are Hamas or Hamas supporters--how many are innocent: who knows. Know one can tell in the midst of fighting. Those innocents who die are dying as much from the results of Hamas' actions as from the weapons from Israel. Last I checked, Israel isn't bombing Palestinians on the West Bank. The latest news includes reports that Hamas leaders on the ground in Gaza wanted a cease fire as negotiated in Egypt, but exiled or removed leadership in Damascas wants to keep fighting. How courageous of the leadership in Damascus that simply wants to see more dead in Gaza while he/they sit safely in Damascus. More great examples of old men leading young people to death. Why Europe and other nations don't stand up to Islamic extremism and its Palestinian killer cousins is beyond me. Maybe they don't care or can't think straight on the issue because they haven't suffered thousands of rocket attacks in a few short years. Its not just the West that suffers from extremism in the Islamic world. Its the moderate Islamic nations, the nations with huge Islamic populations such as India, the nations and people of Africa, Russia, Western portions of China, etc. The world should wake up.
Great. We need a greater crazy people to sane people ratio here. That funny and insightful English Youtube guy.
In an Israeli-Palestine issue, the big picture is Muslims suck especially Pakistan That's what I call da good ol objective 'big picture'
