Adsense around for the next 10 years? 20 years? or more?

I have been thinking about the future and thinking ahead. I know its hard for any business to predict what will happen further than 5 years head but I was wondering how long do you think Google Adsense will be around?

I strongly feel it will be with us for another 5-10 years, will it be around and have the same presence in 20 years? Whats your opinion?

The internet is a fast moving technology and I hope adsense is going to be in for the long run 20+ years. I would say yes it probably will be here in 15 years time but can't say for sure as you never know which way the web will take us.

if you are thinking about future that far ahead, then adsense should not be your major source of income in the long run. go for real moeny with affiliate programs and build site targeting products you can sell. keep adsense as a source of supplemental income and for diversity. no one can tell whats gonna happen even next year, forget 20 years down the road

Yes I agree, Adsense moneymaking should not be a 'career' or business goal. Affiliate programs will be around as long as adsense I believe.

I was just curious, don't worry I'm not thinking of investing $100 million in an adsense website, more just an interest to see what others think.

IMO if adsense leaves, google leaves.. if google leaves.. the internet leaves, competition will either increase or decrease.. if it decreases which is more likely... CPC rates will probably increase so google is making money somewhere else.... i think it will still be here... but i don't think the competition will be..which some people might benefit from i guess.. (depending on the cost of living then).. you cant really tell thats just like asking if earth will be around in 20 years

Google has been around for less than 15 years. The world has been around for billions.

Googles probability of survival is probably a billion times less than the world.

Sorry I know you didn't mean it seriously but, I am 99.99999999% sure the world will be around in 20 years. I am 70% sure google will be around in 20 years.

Your a bit overconfident. With the path the world is on currently it will not exist in the same fashion in 20 years.

well, for me, it's important we stay up to date rather than thinking about adsense alone.

if we need a switch, we will have to.. lets' time i checked, before adsense, alot of people make alot of money with alot of other techniques..

be a pioneer in something or do early what pioneer people do.

    just my 2 cents

Adsense as we know it will soon finish.
There are too many scams associated with it.
Google will introduce a new alternative and selected publishers will be invited to join.

As long as there is a degree of profitability to it for all involved, there's no reason it should stop, though it's still early days yet. If Google stops making money, or advertisers dry up because they're not getting any ROI then the game's over for Adsense.

If Google Adensense or Google Adwords death, I'm sure Google death, it's for now, but what about if in the next year Google shoot your cell phone, it is a big deal, and they will into the telecomunication industry, or something like that :p

Adsense will only survive if people can see the ads and will click on the ads.
People are getting more savvy these days and are more ad blind or turn their ad blocker on. I think Google will eventually need to re-invent Adsense somehow.
