To read this NY Times story you may have to register, but it is worth it, if you want to know the truth about how Google got the money to get up and running.

    Wow,
That's something. $200,000 6 years brings you a return of $300 million. talk about ROI... LoL... but that is something else. If they go public I'll buy stocks right away... however many I can get with $100,000 then after a few months when they are high enough (at least double or triple the initial price) I'll sell... get me a nice little ROI.

I would wait if I were you, until the luster is off of the IPO remember Yahoo was once at 400 and dropped to 7, so timing is everything in the stock market.

If you would have bought Yahoo in 2001 after the first Dot com bust, you could have made money, it went from 400 to 7 then back up again.

So how many of you are going for the Google IPO? They are opening it up for the general public - bidding style. Pretty cool.

Where you going to pick some up at, on the sidewalk?

I want to buy mine like Jeff Bezos did at .06 cents a share.

If I only would have bought Microsoft in 1986 I would be worth 500 million now, but I was swindled out of my money by penny stock brokers and they took my money and bought Microsoft with the worthless certificates they gave me.

I was only about lets see, 1986 minus, 1959, let me get my calculator out....

hold on, I will tell you, 27 years old and dumb as hell, how old are you now Shawn?

So now you are 45 and still dumb as hell :D. Just joking Anthony.

Besides the evil empire known as Google what other conspiracy theories do you hold dear? Who was really behind the assassination of Kennedy? I'm sure you know.

Bob, we can't get into that one, I think everyone knows it was an inside job.

If you keep defending Shawn I am sure you will be his first moderator Bob.

So you won't let me pick on Shawn just a little bit, Bob?

I like your style Compar, you make the forum worth coming back to

Shawn, I think you should break down and let Compar be your first moderator, the guy is funny as hell, he is very bright also.

I started out hating Bob at IMR, but you got to love this guy once you get to know him, even if he is a Page Rank guy!

This man is a hell of an asset to Digital Point, don't tell him I said this
