It is a first CB are giving advance warning of some planned downtime, the problem is we all know that these things usually mean bigger problems than just 16 minutes! See note from CB below:

well if its paypal doing the maintenance on their end it probably will only be 16 mins and credit cards should still work. Paypal cant afford to piss about like clickbank does because anything longer than that time will lose them millions

Yep, it seems this has nothing to do with CB, it is PayPal maintenance, so there's nothing CB can do about it, thanks for the warning BTW. ;)

I believe all the problems CB have been having is their link with paypal as their overall payment processor.

People can choose to ignore if they want.

I wonder if this has anything to do with me having a slow day today? I sure hope not. Things were finally working well again... ;) It's always something, isn't it?

Yes, most people dont know that clickbank payment processor (for credit cards and normal paypal payments) is Paypal. Paypal processes all their transactions, even their credit cards transactions.

Its a no brainer, some days ago they were having problems, so they probably opted for a temporarily solution and they are going to "fix" it now....

Well, lets hope so, these few days remind me of January last year - screwed up sales due to technical problems!

Well, I haven't made a sale since this "outage" - anyone else seen problems?

I will show you the last week which clearly demonstrates CB problems on 6th Jan and since 8th issues!

Sales are still going through, but I'm getting emails with problems. From today...

    Email from customer:

How can I pay for this thing ? Every time I try to pay I get "unable to process your order at this time" from clickbank. My card is perfectly valid and enough in my account to cover the purchase.

    Email from customer:

How can i successfully sign up using a credit card? It keeps saying unable to process.

Getting emails from different products on different clickbank accounts. Whatever the problem is, hope they fix it soon...

That's about right Patchkaa, I was doing $500-$1000 daily with FX products from about Dec. 15th to Jan 5th, after the 5th I get maybe 1 sale per day.

Same PPC traffic same site everything.

This is not enough to demonstrate a CB issue, you have a blank day further down as well so what is 3 more? Additionally if those are forex products then going from 2-4 sales a day to 0 sales is nothing more than a normal flucuation. If we were talking sales every day at 20+ then you could establish an issue here.

Yeah thats right! You are in the highly competitive market so there can be alot of reasons why you are not getting sales! I think too many are quick to draw the gun when blaming clickbank!

ehhh.... you should read posts, everyone should. dude said it's a mix of products. I still find it odd that some people still back clickbank, because they do SEO more than PPC and have no idea what there're losing.. If you do PPC and clickbank, well, you probably don't anymore..

And going from over $100/day to $0 the next, is NOT a normal fluctuation, in any market or business. How long do you think a retail store would last with days like that? say, $1000 one day, then maybe $100 the next, it just doesn't work like that. No buiness would survive, which is why anyone promoting clickbank like this is hurting, whether they even know it or not. So what is 3 more? 3 more is everything man! If our pulling anywhere close to daily sales, then you go to no sales for multiple days in a row....how can you even think that is normal? seriously. Everyone and their mother knows clickbank has tracking problems.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

$100 to $0 in one day is a PERFECTLY Normal fluctuation. Even if he is promoting mid range products thats only three sales in a day. THREE. How difficult is it to fluctuate by 3 sales? Not very. CB may have tracking problems but I have seen no difference between the last few months and the last year, in addition losing 3 sales a day for 3 days means NOTHING.

WHAT?! no it is not. That means you/or clickbank is doing something wrong.
It's the easiest thing in the world to get 3 sales a day, especially using ppc, but when you have a campaign that is consistently pulling in over $500/day, and for a few days in a row turns up nothing... how can you say that's normal? When someone just lost, however much on ppc,
$100-300 in a day, for ZERO profits, how can you say, ah, thats normal.

And wow, so losing 3 sales/day for 3 days mean nothing to you.... what are you doing this for?
What's the point if you don't even care about sales? Those sales should mean everything to you.

    If your hurting with sales,
    A) you suck at what you do
    or B) you don't work hard/smart enough

    That's it! problems solved.

Like I said before, no real business could survive with figures like that. I understand markets can dry up quickly, but what you saying is statistically impossible. Which is why I no longer use clickbank, and I have never had another 0 sales day. THAT IS JUST CRAZY.

on another note: wowhaxor, are you really traveling abroad on IM money? I am doing the same, and it is awesome!

bottom line, if your worried about clickbanks tracking, don't post anything here about it, everyone knows. Just leave clickbank. There are plenty of awesome affiliate networks that have their s*** together. If you don't care about missing sales or have no idea they're missing, just hang out, and hope for the best.

it seems anyone doing SEO is doing find because they have no idea what they're losing, and people doing ppc are winding up broke.
