    Hello,

I installed WordPress yesterday. Its running fine, but I have a problem in uploading images. When I upload an image, it no doubts gets uploaded, but when I view it, its an empty image.

When I visit the Media section, there is this note next to my image entry : "Missing Attachment".

I re-installed WP 4-5 times. But each time, this problem will resurface.
Could anyone please help me out!!

Make sure CHMOD for wp-content/uploads/ is set to 777.

If that doesn't work, create a couple of folders.

Make one for the year "2009" and install it in wp-content/uploads.

and then make one for the month "1" and install that in wp-content/uploads/2009

make sure they are both CHMOD to 777.

I tried both the above methods. But still, a blank page is being displayed as the thumbnail and I am getting the same old "missing attachment" error!!:(

Make sure that the thumbnail that you are attempting to display is the proper size. All theme s do not automatically resize the image , and will not display if it is too big.

Also make sure that you are using the correct tag to call the image and that you have spelled it correctly.

If all else fails, look for support from the theme creator.

It does not sound like an issue with your wordpress install, it sounds like an issue with the theme.

Maybe if you give a link to the blog, someone will know the theme and can help more than just guessing.

The theme is alrite. I have used the same theme earlier as well and I had no problems then.

When I upload images and I login to my hosting account and check it there, I am not able to find that image file... does the error lie here...??
