I have not worked much with any other ppc company but am pretty sure that widgetbucks is the best alternative for Google Adsense . I Signed up under them around 1 year back never worked with their adds. But i have been getting money from the referals i made 200$ without working a minute . just from its referal . here is the proof

Just spread the word why u like WB and its advantages over adsense like 1) it pays Via Paypal . 2) Gives a 25$ signup bonus. 3)minimum payout is just 50$. 4)They do not ban accounts like adsense does. 5)Also getting into adsense has become tough now they now ask for a 6 month old blog with unique content . your always welcome i think adbrite pays per 1000 impressions and bidvertiser is pretty similar to widgetbucks .Bidvertiser pays less compared to Widgetbucks .
AdSense doesn't have a decent PPC alternative. However you might be able to make more money with affiliate programs. It depends on your niche.
Another reason why i hate adsense is they do not have referal system like Widgetbucks and other companies .
I think you are lucky because you have one (or many) active referrals. I have ten but none of them be active
I have got many referals but the money that i have been making is the cumulative some of different referals signed-up under me .
