Even the Lord Jesus allows the "take-it-or leave-it" option for listeners and hearers of the Good News. But every faithful continues to spread the Word of God and never get tired doing so because it is the power of the Lord God to salvation for every believer. And yet even non-believers are welcome to try and abide, be guided by the dos and don'ts in the teachings of the Lord Jesus; only by then would everyone find peace and compassion for one another.
Religion is good if used properly... the bible if filled with good moral stories, some of which have outlived their time and longer really apply to our modern lives, but many of the teachers are still valid. It is when people start taking the bible literally and think this shit actually happened that we get into trouble.
