Probably they've watched the Exorcist too many times and take it literally.

The Lord God has empowered His trusted disciples to cast away demons, lay hands upon the sick and cure every sickness in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ. All glory, honor and power belong only to the Lord God Almighty, and only He is able to drive away evil spirit and heal sickness of faithful believers.

The link says "page not found"

anyway, this is sad. Even in the 21st century people believe such crap. Religion and spirituality isn't bad..its all this shit about witches and demons that some people tend to believe!

I do believe in witches and wizards though, but only in fantasy when I'm reading Harry Potter!

Religion cripples the ability to reason and think critically. Here in Metro-Manila, over 200 particpants were injured a few days ago when a huge procession got out of control. The melee was the result of a struggle to determine who would get to pull or touch the rope attached to a cart carrying a religious statue.

Depends on the type of religion, Bro. Aside from faithfulness and devotion,
propriety and orderliness in praise and worship practices are also important
aspects of congregational activities. Discipline among the members and respectability of the leadership are vital in the proper observance of various
rites and ceremonies of a fellowship. And I'm sure much of these were lacking
in the procession that you observed.

Although I might agree with you, "laying hands upon the sick" does mean chock them to death.

    >>only He is able to ... heal sickness of faithful believers

Not true -- doctors heal people all the time.

    or was it screeching :p

I personally think the distinction between 'preaching' and 'screeching' is small, if you need to preach it, its probably nonsense.

Even the Lord Jesus allows the "take-it-or leave-it" option for listeners and hearers of the Good News.
But every faithful continues to spread the Word of God and never get tired doing so because it is
the power of the Lord God to salvation for every believer. And yet even non-believers are welcome
to try and abide, be guided by the dos and don'ts in the teachings of the Lord Jesus; only by then
would everyone find peace and compassion for one another.

This is pretty basic, even you should understand it:

    Religion is BS.

Religion is good if used properly... the bible if filled with good moral stories, some of which have outlived their time and longer really apply to our modern lives, but many of the teachers are still valid. It is when people start taking the bible literally and think this shit actually happened that we get into trouble.

So religion is a tool? I quite agree. A tool for the powerful to remain that way.
