    Google is pretty friendly when it comes to exceptions....
    Do you have lots of content on your new site? What's your url. If it's a worthy site you may be able to appeal :) - (just my opinion)

    I've read that the 6 month thing isn't written in stone. You can still give it a try if your site is younger. I would still use the blogspot technique if I were you.
