    See Alexa rankings mentioned a lot but I have no idea what it actually means or what it is based on. Is it something that I should worry about from an SEO perspective?

    alexa ranking only shows traffic ranking based on the visitors using alexa toolbar which doesn't represent the true traffic to your site. also, sometimes the ranking could be way off and not reliable so i wouldn't suggest you to rely on that data
