What's Keeping your From Making $100 a Day Online?

That sounds like a pretty modest amount of money, with all of these people that claim to be making millions. Lets face it. The vast majority of people who try to make money online, fail. A lot of people make nothing and move on, some people make small amounts and never really make a living online and yet, some people make a full-time living online. If a person can get to that $100 a day online and stay at that level, I consider that to be a secure full-time living online, depending on where you live.

So, with that said, what is your biggest challenge to $100 a day online? I'm talking about a consistent $100 a day online. I'm very successful online now, but I went through plenty of struggles to get there, that is for sure. I also interact and mentor several successful marketers and I know some of the big obstacles.

They include: Online and offline distractions, lack of focus, information overload, not finishing projects, acting on bad information, always chasing the next best thing and never taking action, lack of motivation etc.

    What is your biggest problem?

P.S. - I'll monitor this thread and give you some advice...

My biggest problem is Google always changing mind. I had some old trusted sites ranking high and i went from 3K per month to $1 per day :p Right now just moving on and creating a solid (and non-serp's dependent) site that offers daily bonus.

hmmm... I'd say for me it's lack of motivation to monetize. I would like to monetize my traffic a little better, but my site is more of a hobby than a money-maker. I'm not out to make millions, I just want people to enjoy and use my social bookmarking site, SoLinkable. I would prefer traffic over money (although I guess money could bring in traffic...)

That's the other problem - it's tough to monetize a social bookmarking site. We have all seen the troubles that digg and reddit have gone through recently regarding advertising revenue. So here's a question for you, any thoughts on how to monetize a social bookmarking site?

There are thousands of different ways to make money online, without having to rely on Google. Getting traffic from Google is just a luxury for me now. Never put all of your eggs in one basket. Once you start making money online, diversify your methods, so if one or more dry up, you still have others to fall back on.

I don't own or operate a social bookmarking site, so I'm probably not the best person to ask. I see that you're using banners, other than that I don't really know many ways to monetize it. You could set up a newsletter and market that way. If you're serious about making money online, there are a lot of ways to do it, other than owning a social bookmarking site.

Don't worry buddy, I've read plenty of great information about making money online in the past and totally blew it. It's just a learning experience. I had plenty of them, get back to work and you'll be fine.

That's what i'm doing these last 2 months: building a new business model based only on old school marketing techniques, flyers and mouth to mouth advertising. No more serp's traffic and stupid moves by Google. Right now just taking people to join us and monetizing them. Know what? Old flyers still do work :)

I think I had too much going on so I sold off one site a couple months ago and I'll sell another soon.

I've been trying to concentrate on making three quality sites so I hoping that makes a difference.

I know that feeling. When I started out online, I really struggled, but then I started to have a ton of success. I would make $300, $400 a day, but the only problem was that it was with one method. I thought that I could rely on that one method forever and become rich. That method dried up and I really struggled and had to go back to the basics and diversify. Really good things have happened to me, since then.

Information overload and working on too many projects are major problems that people have. I had struggled with it for a long, long time. The key is to focus and finish projects. If you don't finish projects, chances are you won't profit from them.

You need an idea to make that happen, trying all the money making methods will not get you anywhere, just focus on one method and dont give up till you make enough from it.

What if that one method that you focus on is sh*t? Then what? I guess that you're screwed...

I get focusing on a strategy and making it work, but what happens if that idea or strategy will not work? Then, you're in trouble. There is a fine line out there. Yes, I agree that you should focus and finish projects, but at the same time, don't give up if you fail. Most of us fail online, that is a given, you need to stick it out.

Could you give some examples of what you mean by methods - are you talking about only writing ezinearticles, or just blogging, or just social bookmarking vs doing all of those things for each project? or are you talking about affiliate marketing or adsense or etc.?
I think you need to have a least 4-5 ways of promoting each site/offer to be successful and to prevent the potential problems others have noted.
    Thanks

I'm sorry, but you're swimming in a kiddies pool. There are thousands of really good and sound ways to make money online. Writing ezinearticles, blogging, using social bookmarking to get traffic, yes. Affiliate marketing, selling on eBay, being a freelance worker etc. These are all ways to make money online.

Well, I interact with plenty of marketers that rely on one way to promote their sites and do really well. I don't recommend that for marketers, but there are plenty of people that make it work. I will add, that there are usually a ton of more methods to promote their site than 4-5 ways.

    - Write articles
    - Blog
    - Guest Blog
    - Pay-per Click Advertising
    - Having a link in Forum Posting
    - Having a Mailing List
    - Ect. Etc. Ect.

its hard to make 100 dollar per day
    100 * 30 = 3000

3000 won't seen a lot of money per month for a good webmaster
but, you need a lot of sites to achieve that income

and it's good to do both mainstream sites and adult sites :)

i know some adult webmaster are making over xx,xxx money per month bec they have 1000s or even 10,000s sites

if 1 dollar per site per day, that is holy momo amount of money per day :) super afhiafdi don't know how much they are making a month

    i would say
hard working + infinitely of websites will bring you at least 100 per day

I have some advice for you, use the quote or multiquote button to contain your replies in one post than making two or three separate consecutive posts. Helps keep the thread leaner and thus easier to go through. Good thread BTW.
