I take your home. What would you do?

    Hi

What would you do if the following happened to you?

Lets say there are two neighbours called Steve and Jo.

Steve and Jo don't get on well as neighbours. One day, Jo decides that his family is growing and he requires more room for the kids to play, so he decides to take some of Steve's garden and builds a fence around it. Steve asks for his land back but Jo ignores him.

Steve goes to his local authority and reports to the police and receives no help. No one is willing to help Steve.

After continuos arguments, Jo does not return Steve's garden, so Steve knocks the fence down. Jo rebuilds a much taller and stronger concrete wall and purchases a guard dog to protect the wall.

Steve starts to throw stones over at Jo and continuosly asks for his land back otherwise he will not stop throwing stones. Jo realises that no one is willing to help Steve, so takes the opportunity to take more of Steve's garden with an excuse that this will stop Steve throwing stones at him. Steve does not give up and continues to throw stones. Jo then takes another opportunity and takes more land.

Finally when the local authority get involved and ask why Jo took Steves land, Jo replies that I took his land to stop him throwing stones at my family. Steve continues to fight for his land.

With the help of a friend, Jo decides to fight back by throwing rocks at Steve. A rock hits Steve's family who all die. Steve is now on his own and has no where to live. Jo has taken all his land. Land which was owned by Steve and his family.

Steve manages to gather a group of people from the same neighbourhood who have also had their homes taken by Jo.

Together, they all struggle to claim back their homes from Jo.

Steve and his group are called criminals.

What would you do if you were Steve?

Gaza is not a garden and a backyard. The players involved are not simple home owners, those are the victims not the players. Anyway if I were Steve, I would have moved away from that jerk Jo and called a lawyer.

Thanks for your opinion. I just want to know what everyone would do.

By the way, I said no one was willing to help that includes lawyers.

Well, I noticed that every thread you have started is propaganda.

Are you some special person who can post what you wish.

That is never true, not even in Gaza right now. But I will play along. I would still move, I am not going to go shoot Jo and his entire family down in cold blood or send a rocket to his barn to try to make things right again.

I would like to see posts only from people who have super human intellect but it hasn't happened yet. Since I can see you are open to serious discussion with yourself I will leave you and you to it.

I too would simply pack up and move. I am not so stubborn that i would put not only my safety at risk, but also my families saftey at risk. If Steve wouldn't have been so stubborn and just moved when he realized how big of an idiot his neighbour was he and his family would be living somewhere else all alive, and all happy right now instead of being dead.

Sounds like you took out a subprime loan on your house and you owe more than what it is worth.

So you would move away and let your family suffer?

Why can't Jo move away, why you?

I would wait for him late at night and beat the crap out of him. But I'm talking about Steve and Jo, NOT Israel and Palestine.

Where would you move to if you had no money? How would you and your family survive?

Ok, lets say you moved to another part of the country and the same happened again. Would you continue moving?

Why would your family suffer if you moved? And if Jo wants to fight that bad then good for Jo... I, as Steve have decide if I too want to fight with a moron knowing one of us will have to end up dead to finish the ordeal or just move on and be happy. I would make the logical choice and move on and be happy.

My family would not suffer from moving, I have moved several times in my life, I do not consider it suffering. Most of my moving has been within my own country, but I would be thrilled if it were all around the world. Giving your kids them opprotunity to experience and understand different cultures would be the best gift you could give to children in our ever shrinking world. Especially if you are a stubborn father and fear they may inherit your closed mind views and opinions.

    1. I would take my family with me.
    2. I don't ask Jo why he doesn't move, he is unreasonable. I move for my family to be safe.
    3. Gaza is not a simple land dispute between neighbors. If you want to pretend it is to make sense out of it for yourself go ahead but it doesn't make any point.

    Now what would YOU do?

Do you really need money to move? Are you aware there are still uncontacted tribes on this earth that do not ven know what money is? Did you know for thousands of years humans lived off of the land? We are still capable of doing so. And yes, if it came down to any situation where I was faced with either giving up ALL of my possessions and having to live in the woods or risking the safety of my family I would be gone in a flash. My family means more to me than any possession, land, belief or anything else imaginable.

I would move every single day if that is what I needed to do to keep my family safe. Multiple times a day if needed.

You must be rich if you are willing to let go of your home :)

I agree, family safety is first. So we can say that Jo does not care about his family and can be called a stubborn father who is not willing to protect his family from the stones thrown by Steve.

I would figure that out when I got there. I have skills, I can work. I like to think my family would be very capable of surviving. We try to be able.

What about moving your family to a safe location and then coming back alone to fight for your land?

Ok, you move away for the sake of your family. Good.

What do you think of Jo?

I would have given Joe a broken nose. If that didn't do it then I would burn Joe's house to the ground.

What do you think of Abel?

I have a family story that goes about like that :D
An ancestor had a beef with a neighbor and did just those things. When Joe's third cousin shows up and murders your children you might be thinking you should have moved.

    So, we have mixed opinions

    Some people would move away
    Some would fight

Exactly, what about when Steve moves away and his children grow up, they may just come back and try destroying Jo and his family.
