SEO for wordpress blog

Hi,

Please give specific points to keep in bind while optimizing a wordpress blog..

Also please tell me how to edit the meta tags for the articles in wordpress..

 

You need to download the following plugins and activate them on your blog:
All in One SEO Pack
Google XML Sitemaps
SEO Smart Links

I cannot post active links yet so you'll have to Google them

All in One SEO Pack is the best SEO plugin for WP..do not forget to use wp-cache plugin

 

You may either install and properly use the SEO Title Tag plugin or do the following:
1. Download and install this plugin.
2. Replace <?php get_header(); ?> with the context in header.php on single.php, page.php and category.php.
Work out the best titles for the different versions and use the plugin to create different versions of
category.php and single.php with their own versions of title tags.

Content is King!!

 

Yes I think good quality content is the most important.

 

SEO It as you would a normal blog, Keep adding quality content and get good quality back links.

you need to seo just like for any other site but the meta keywords thing is a must so you need to find a way to include that

 

I agree about the quality content..

I need my theme must be optimized as well... Also how to optimize the meta tags..

Please reply with good suggestions with meta tags.

You can edit your template to include meta tags manually.
you can even add a load of content and redirect every page to an external sales page. Thats kinda black hat though.

- Use This Permalink Slug http://www.yourdomain.com/category/Post-Name/

For edit the meta tag, you Can Use SEO Plugins Like SEO Platinum Etc..Or by Theme Editor Menu's.
