Ok so I have tried on 5 different occasions to submit a free press release to 1888 press release. I have based the design off current existing press releases. But they all get declined. Im beginning to think "Free Press Release" is a sham, anyone have any luck? Should I just bite the bullet and pay for one. Or are there any other sites that will actually ok the releases and set them live?
You only get what you pay for... So of course many "free" services are a sham. Read the TOS and the fine print. That goes for any so-called free service.
Check out prlog.com I've used them and they seem ok. I know my release got out there as I've found it on numerous sites.
There are many good press release services that you can use but PAID press releases will do the most for you. I recently have been using http://www.free-press-release.com and I dont even waste my time with the actually free press release. I use their premium service which cost $1 per press release and THEY produce results because I saw a jump in my rankings in the serps and I found all my press releases on the first page for the keywords I was going for. So i suggest using 'free-press-release.com' because it is a great and affordable service.
Yeah most free things were you depend on other people doing something are useless try to find a few cheaper press release sites
I am not using one. I think that most free stuff are just a waste of time because they have many replica around the internet.
i have been looking into press releases but don't know a how lot about it at the moment but i heard it is better to pay for it but if you do the free press release submissions it can potential be the same as if you had paid to submit it i don't know how true this is im still trying to do a bit of research i guess
Don't bang your head on the wall over and over... if some site(s) don't work, try something else. If one free PR site doesn't work, it wouldn't mean that there wouldn't be other free pr sites that are the same. Check out kumar's post about link building and scroll down a bit to find other free PR sites. If you are after other tips for getting traffic, then check this. Press releases are good, but they require newsworthy stuff to work.
True, but hat's only the half of it... Most of the time, they have rediculous restrictions becasue they are in most cases at the mercy of a larger network that is "Image Concious"
What are the differences between the free and the paid release on this site? What makes the free press release on this site a waste of time?
If I were in the OP's shoes I would have submitted to 2 or 3 from the best paid directories and maybe let's say 4 or 5 free ones. That way my article will have the chance to get noticed.
you do not need to bite bullet rather you should try other Free Press Release website. The list you can find here
Off course freepressrelease.com is a good one i agree with it, support link in press release and instant approval. Other i found is http://www.afly.com/view_release.php?rel_id=19233 which also approve instantly but there is no internal linking and lack of search engine useful. But you can post with different content.
Thought I posted this but I don't see it in the thread. Press Sites can be helpful, even more if you vary your release a little. This is a pretty good list of places you can submit your press release to: http://www.webmaster-elements.com/submit-press-releases.htm HTH
I haven't had a lot of luck with press releases. But what you have to keep in mind, you aren't going to be talked about or published unless you have something newsworthy. It has to be outrageous and crazy and something people are going to print. If they look like obvious advertising, they will be ignored, whether you pay for it or not.
