That's my question basically, I don't know how to do it. Also, is there anything I should know to do with the google toolbar as a webmaster besides seeing pagerank and how many links a site has to it?
If you have google analytics instakled in your website there are a lot of things you could do ranging from learning about keywords, traffic source and a lot more. i suggest that you start looking that up, in the long run it will help you a lot. Concerning the second question, there are a lot of things you could do with your toolbar, from listening to the radio to checking the weather to having shortcut to your favorite website and or bloggs. But what i suggest you do is install a custom tool bar that will help yo set up the function you need to use. If you have more question please feel free to ask. Thank you
If your host has a stats setup, you can just use that. Contact their support or just look in your web panel. Otherwise, Google Analytics is pretty good, although I find it isn't accurate because of adblock and noscript in firefox.
There is also a section in google webmaster tools that you can see what type of search such as blog, image or web. You can also sort the google searches by country. Such as google .ca and google.co.uk which is really helpful if you are targeting a specific country.
If you installed a mybloglog javascript in your site, you can monitor on a daily basis what keywords people search that lead them to land on your site. But there is nothing like Google Analytics. Everything you need to know about your internal website activity will be provided by Google Analytics. There is no need to look farther.
Hi there Google Analytics is a free web based analytics software that you can get from this link http://www.google.com/analytics/ Just sign up then add your website and add the code to your website.
Use google keyword suggestion tool to find keyword synonyms and use wordze or keyword discovery to get the estimated traffic of each keywords.
Google Analytics is great but I like to have a site wide stat tracking tool as well.. Check out statcounter and feel free to hook me up with a link if you think the tip is worthy lol...
Answering your origional question here: Use Google Analytics and check traffic sources. You can check Keywords that your site is appearing for and the keywords your site is being clicked on. Now check the bounce rate. Maybe you need to concentrate on the keywords that are being clicked with 0 bounce rate.
I am using statcounter.com for last 3 years ans it really good and simple to use and you can check Top keyword to your site.
Google analytics is one of the best tools available to check your stats including the keywords that lead your site for maximum number of visitors. Also the cpanel/web-panel of your site will give you similar stats.
