Hiring someone to enter items into an online store?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by Clear Presence Media, Jan 7, 2009.

Has anybody ever done this? I am interested in finding somebody to enter items from my suppliers website (descriptions, pictures, weight, and SKU) into my online store.
If anybody has ever done this, was it by the hour or by the item, and how much did it cost you? Also, where did you find them?

    Thanks

Indian guy, by the hour, entered about 1000 items in a few days. I gave him some bonus for speed; think I paid $100 in the end.

You could also look at importing those details into a database. A CSV file and an import tool can do this. You can import several thousand products this way and it can be done in less than an hour.

Do you know how I could get in touch with this guy or others like him? What website did you use, and how well was the work?

If you show me your site and your backend I can tell you if maybe you can upload the files via CSV which would save time. Do you even have an XML or CSV or something in the area file?

I have recently been working with uploading thousands of products to a store that I own which is based off of Joomla if you want I could upload the files for you as long as they use the default settings of the script if you need to add extra things it makes it a bit more complicated.

Hmm so you would have to do it by hand eh =/ How many products you got and how many columns for each product? If its less than 2000 products I will do it for $100
