format your computer and reinstall your OS, also check if the hacker has a email address in your paypal addon emails, also check if you have any subscriptions going out.
Great suggestions. I would just like to add that you should consider changing your e-mail's password as well. The person may have access to your e-mail address, so when you changed your password on certain sites, they can still do the "forgot password" thing on the site, and the new password will be sent to the e-mail address that they have access to.
Hey, All the advice i can give you is two have two bank accounts, One for all your money bills ect and one for sending a receiving money on-line (PayPal) and don't keep a lot of money in this account, So when you want to buy something on-line go in and put some money in and make the purchase and if anyone hacks your account again they would not have any money to spend as that account would be empty most of the time. This is what I do, although i have not had my Paypal account hacked its much easier and safer, Good Luck
hey jonathan after reading your post i checked for the addon emails and i found a new mail id in that i removed it from my paypal . thanks a ton mate .Repped you . what should i do with that email id ? i guess i cannot do much about it .
Post it here so you can "out" the "hacker" and hopefully some spam-bots will pick-up on it and start spamming the hell out of that e-mail address
lets say first time maybe was just a mistake ( using a shared computer for login at your acc) , but ... second time its really need to give you to think about it . Maybe you dont need to use a computer ? learn some stuffs about online security .. things like this
I recommemder you should do 3 step follow here. And you never got hacked by your account again: 1. Do not use password paypal same password email 2. Do not use password paypal same with any account of any other site 3. Always open browser and type http://www.paypal.com , then you login, do not click any link on email. Good way.
It is such a shame that a friend you knew for 2 years did this kind of thing. He is not worth being a human being...leave alone calling him a friend... Regards, RightMan
he might have ur email password.. "forgot password" is an easy way to get pass when u have email pass Thing u need to do is change ur email password... thts it.. n dont gv out ur pp email to every1..
Another suggestion I'd add is use a program like Roboform for passwords, it will store them for you and log you in when you visit sites that you have stored. This way you can use encrypted passwords that are impossible for someone to guess, like - 4f50w03$2sw@s All my passwords for every site I frequent are encrypted, and each one is different.
Sometimes with identiy theft, you can have problems like these. This is a little different, but if you have your credit card number taken, and someone opens an AOL account with it. You then report it stolen, and get a new card. Then AOL tries to bill your old card for the thief and is denied. AOL then contacts your card company and gets the new card number and bills it for you. Usually this is just big companies and is intended to be used for when your old card expires to save you the hassle of re-entering the new expiration date. It's possible that this is what happened and how you got rebilled for the same amount. You can call the company that charged you and find out more. Good luck. Ghengis
Godaddy's Support sucks big time . they havent reverted the amount yet ,dont know why are they taking so long last time when it got hacked the guy buyed hosting from Hostgator and when i complained them my amount was reverted immediately .
one more thing you have to check whether it's a subsctiption payment. if yes then cancel the subscription. I m sure this is the matter
