Very confused about website targetting...

Hi, I've done some testing and want my ads to only appear on a specific web site. How do I do that? I've heard of placement targeting, but when I add the placement for thesiteIchose.com, it doesn't display my ads at all. I think it only shows ads on the front page of thesiteIchose.com and not on its sub pages. How do I target thesiteIchose.com AND all of its subpages that my keywords match up with?

Some sites do not allow you to target them.

If it does allow you to target it you can use the placement tool to find out what pages can be targeted.

The placement tool can be found by clicking on the placement tab within an ad group and selecting to add a placement.

It may also be that you are being outbid by other advertisers for the same slot?

hmm I looked up the site and the pages can be targeted.

maybe, but when I didn't use placement I could target the site. Now however I don't show up at all. Could it be because I was banned?

First off, I assume thesiteIchose.com is running Adsense and is not just a search partner that you cannot specifically target.

Sounds like you must have some idea already, but I would run it as a separate content targeted campaign. Add your keywords as usual but there is no need to set bids for them - the bid is on the placement not the keyword.

It is up to the owner of the website which pages carry ads. If the site only shows ads on the home page then you cannot target any other pages. If the site does show ads on other pages then Adwords will automatically target ones that match with your keywords.

Could be you are not bidding enough - remember, you are going to have to outbid those advertisers already being shown. The site owner can also block you from advertising on the site (but if you have not been shown that is unlikely to have happened here.)
