This is a great tip. Also get a decent microphone. Voice recognition software is really getting good these days.
GNK, do you think it would be better to make many sites with many pages of content and submit just some articles to ezinearticles or make 5 to 7 page info sites and submit many articles to ezinearticles?
If it's only one niche we're talking about, I would stick to one site and concentrate on creating as many content pages as possible while at the same time sending articles to ezine as well. Having multiple sites will only be more difficult as you try to balance an equal workload and eventually you'll get burnt out of trying to update each site with unique content.
People can always outsource articles from several sites such as Elance and GetAFreelancer or copy-writers from forums. I don't think anyone does all the work that 5 - 10 affiliate sites involve all by themselves, there wouldn't be any great results.
You point another article or wiki or blog to your eza article. The article or wiki or blog will need to be SEO optimized for the keywords of your eza article. You will want to have your own site eventually to keep the traffic flowing in to your offers and to be able to track things more efficiently. You can also use squidoo lenses to do this. I saw your sig, and this is all whitehat. But for the sake of your readers, have good content in all your articles. I recommend you make the links point like a pyramid to wherever it is you want to point your readers. Michael Campbell has more on this, as he has been doing it for years and is much better than I am at it. Good luck.
Hey guys, So I made another sale bringing the total CB income of $51. Add to this some Adsense income of about $30. I know that the Adsense may be viewed as a traffic "leak" compared to CB ads but I believe in diversifying for the long term. Remember, this is just an experiment to see what a boost of traffic will do. This is not a long term traffic strategy. That will still require me to do link building, press releases etc. I would rather not hear comments such as "man, that sucks". Such comments are not constructive and we are not children (maybe some of us are!). Remember, this is an initial boost of traffic for a content site NOT a landing page. My intention is to eventually add 100 pages of content for each content site. SEO traffic is the long term gain which is far better converting even than article traffic. Thanks for the constructive tips of linking to my articles. I have never tried this strategy before but I sure will be. Here are some stats: niche1: 16 articles, 1025 views, 102 url clicks *** niche2: 15 articles, 405 views, 20 url clicks +++ niche3: 16 articles, 3686 views, 472 url clicks *** niche4: 15 articles, 632 views, 49 url clicks niche5: 15 articles, 943 views, 99 url clicks niche6: 15 articles, 1521 views, 274 url clicks *** = CB sale(s) made +++ = no CB products advertised I think the stats are the most valuable part of this experiment. Let's analyse. First of all there is a big difference in the article views. For niche 3 a weird thing happened, I had 2 articles get a ton of traffic and the site was getting about 100 hits a day at its peak and even now still getting 30 hits a day. Not bad for 16 articles. Anyway I hope this raw data was useful, I invite your comments.
Please read the thread again as the answers to your questions have already been given, you are obviously lazy my friend!
I read all the pages to the thread thank you. Did you know it is easier to say yes or no than to type that whole message out? It just sounded as if you were done or something.
Guys, What you're saying here is really the point I was trying to get at. If after 91 articles you only see $80 some dollars in sales, you should take a step back and look at other pieces of the puzzle (like your landers, products your promoting, etc). While I know it's articles spread out over several niche markets, after writing this many articles, you really should take a look at things and cut what niches aren't performing well and stick with the others. Or, figure out how you can work to improve the niches performing badly and even do the same with your best converting niches as well. So, yea - Everything needs to compliment one another to be a breakout success, but you have to evaluate what's performing and what isn't at some point, or else you're just burning daylight.
rolf, i like how you are keeping track for your stats, clicks and sales. This will help you eliminate losers. Just curious thou - How much have you spent in outsourcing articles and how much you made so far?
Hey Rolf, I am still keeping tabs here. Your total sales were $81 (so far ) for writing 92 articles. That makes 88 cents per article. I dont know how long it took for each article to be written, but I was looking at what you have made per hour just in writing the articles. You have obviously had to do more work in other areas also, such as tracking. The better news is that this is NOT over yet. If you can continue to send more targeted traffic, or get that traffic even more focused so that the click-through gets better, you may have a winner on your hands. This has started slowly, but it may pick up some...
I would work on getting a higher CTR on your articles->lander. Then, work on rocking lander->offer. Moving people through the process is KEY to making this whole concept work. Higher CTR on the inital article means more potential conversions, more conversions means more money. It's a numbers game.
Rolf thank you for sharing this experiment with us. I think the advice i got here was best and thats to add many pages of fresh content to my sites, but at least you made some money from this and gained value knowledge and I think thats the whole key to this try.
I'm glad some of you found this useful. I use this method of EZA to launch a site, the main reason is that Google seems to like my sites and I avoid the sandbox. There are some lessons to be learned on conversion but I must stress to some of you that these are not landing pages and conversion from articles is not my objective here but merely to share some useful data. What is the objective is to avoid the sandbox, get SE traffic asap (I will update when I start to get some) and then tweak my site to convert SE visitors as best I can. Let me once more reiterate, these are not landing page sites. I already have many of those that converted much better in the past.
I'm glad you are a touch typer. You've really got those keys memorized! Do they even teach touch typing in school anymore?
I once tried "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" but I have higher words per minute typing my own way by instinct. And yes, I don't need to look at the keyboard. Obviously with no letters there is no point either
