Why would the US send aid to terrorists? yes, it is WP (I believe from the looks of it) WP is a little worse than the phospherus you find in older camera flashes. It only burns about 5k degrees F. But hey, if Hamas wants to use an area as a staging area to launch attacks, ooops.

(By the way, WP isn't really a chemical weapon, it is, but it isn't at the same time. Not the same way as things like mustard gas. Those are called weapons of mass destruction. Good try though)

The Palestinians have received 2.2billion in US aid from the USAID agency. They've probably received aid from other US sources as well.

Those are aid direct to the people. I'm all for sending anyone aid that really needs it, so long as it serves the interests of the US. It no longer serves our interests so they should not receive anything anymore. However, if its going to innocent people that are just trying to get by, thats always good.

By such definition, most of the weapons are chemical in nature. So everyone in the world are using chemical weapons.

IMHO saying that Israel is using chemical weapons because of the WP used is wrong. Depending on how Israel uses the WP, I will condemn it if it is using against the rules of the world conventions.

BTW anyone condemning Hamas for using chemical weapons as in landmines? Landmines contain quite a lot of chemicals too. If it is used in proper UN convention, I guess there is nothing to say, but have Hamas indicated the land mines area and boundaries clearly? I would doubt so.

Why didn't Hammas just stop launching missiles into Israel ? What did they think was going to happen ?
Now they are crying foul ?

    I don't get it.

Is it just a constant effort to get the world involved and draw attention to a thousands year old argument ?

Speaking just about this one instance, and not the last 5 thousand years, if you keep throwing rocks into the window of my house, you might get a little white phosphorus in your own driveway.
    That's all I'm saying..

Some of us can tell the difference between the people of Palestine and the terrorist organization that has taken up residence there.

The US doesn't want suffering in Gaza but at the same time supports Israel's right to defend itself against the Iranian backed nut jobs which have a stated goal of wiping Israel from existence.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=10319923&postcount=13

That is the most realistic view on the subject that I've seen in this forum. It seems to accept the reality of human existence, conflict and struggle on reality's terms.
Conflicts will inevitably happen between groups of people and it doesn't necessarily help matters to take a pretty and neat ideological stance on one side or the other that looks good on paper.
Giving humanitarian aid while defending a state's right to use force is not something that's logically inconsistent if you approach the problem realistically and not so ideologically.

After all the Israelis are not targeting civilians. They may find a greater amount of collateral damage acceptable than suits many people, but they are not targeting civilians.

Compare this to how Russia handled the Moscow Theater Hostage Crisis when Chechen terrorists took over the theater. The Russians were actually willing to accept their own people as collateral damage(if you can even call it this since it's hard to say the killing of their own was unintentional), even if the "friendly" casualties were mathematically bound to be greater than that of the terrorists.

If Putin were head of Israel, Gaza would probably be flat by now, like Grozny.

Thats like a shark is trying to look innocent in dolphin's eyes? Its just doesnt make sense. Shoot the f'ckers and send them aid after (to the ones who alive that is)

Israelis are not targeting civilians? So, all > 500 dead are terrorists you are saying? Is UN school a terrorist place or is it just mistake?

One main point, is Palestina officialy a state of Israel like Chechnya of Russia? BTW, the chechen rebels are still fighting partisan war, so it didnt end. Now, imagine what will be with Israel in the next few years since they act MUCH lighter than Putin (I think thats what you were trying to say). BTW, it wasnt Putin, it was Eltsin, 2 BIG different ppl. The second being much dumber sending 18 years old kids to that war.

Guess I was wrong about you seeing things realistically and in an unbiased way.

    No, they are not.

It was both Yeltsin and Putin, since there was a first and second Chechen war. Putin saw over the Moscow Theater Hostage Crisis, which is how I was referring to Putin.
The point is that you have plenty of human rights violations to protest right at home to keep you busy for a lifetime. Why so concerned about the US? You really don't need to be. Be a good citizen and try to improve your own country. Or are you afraid you'll disappear like the thousands of Chechens that have vanished from the earth after being arrested?

If you look at that pic and count the blocks and buildings you'll see that it's a well defined area that had been blown up. The surrounding areas don't really look damaged, just the area in the middle. They probably killed a bunch of assholes in that bombed out area there.

Now look at these before and after satellite photos of Grozny, and realize that the area looks much larger, and that not only the central area is destroyed, but the entire area. This is why the UN called Grozny the most destroyed city on earth.

Saying that Grozny was destroyed is being quite literal. The city was utterly bombed to hell for years.

    [IMG] [IMG]

A half of a million people lost their homes in the first two years after the start of the first Chechen war and 10s of thousands were killed. More tens of thousands were killed in the second Chechen war.

What's worse is that there are estimates of between 1,000 and 5,000 of Chechen men who were arrested(many at their homes) and who were never seen again. Thousands of people have just vanished from the face of the earth after being arrested by the Russian military.

Here's a good documentary about the subject broken up into 6 parts.
