When I upgraded to WordPress 2.7 using the procedure within my GoDaddy hosting admin the site lost the layout, formatting, columns etc.

    http://obsessionfitness.com

GoDaddy says they can't support third party content management systems.

I have a feeling it's a simple fix but I can't track it down. Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. If anyone is not seeing the site at all please let me know.

    It could be:
*The theme is not compatible with 2.7, or
*There is a plug in that is either not upgraded, or not compatible.

That also happens when you upgrade without disabling your plug ins first.

Check that all of your plug ins are the most recent version, or reinstall your theme files, be careful of any modifications that you have made.

Is there any chance you can contact the person who created the theme?

Look for other blogs using the same theme, ask if they have upgraded to 2.7 yet?

I just updated all plugins with no luck. I contacted the author and posted a reply on his blog entry that announced the theme. No responses yet.

    Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Switch to a different theme, then switch back. If still bad try uploading the theme again.

Deactivate all the plug ins, and see if the theme loads properly...if not, then it is likely the theme is not compatible with 2.7.

If so, then activate the plug ins one by one, until you find the culprit.

Tried that, didn't work. Others using the same theme have upgraded without problems. I'm thinking about reverting back to the generic WordPress theme but concerned about losing some of the site optimization.

Don't give up yet. Deactivate all your plug ins again, and download a fresh 2.7 and reinstall Word Press manually...meaning don't use Automatic Upgrade.

Reinstall a fresh theme file as well.
Then activate your plug ins one at a time.

Also, make sure that there aren't any extra files on the root, like old flash ads, or stuff you don't use anymore.

Lastly, make sure you don't have a bunch of pages that you may have made in the past, but put on the back burner, or are saving as drafts.

Don't forget to make back ups.

Does the theme load without any plug ins activated?

Did all that and changed themes and it worked. Thanks!

Not sure if I'll keep this theme long term. I don't like the stretching header -- by chance do you know how to change it to fixed width?

You could try changing th edemensions in the CSS file to width: 100%; , but I would recommend just making a new header.
