So I am pretty sure that this topic has been discussed before, but I thought I would bring it up again since I wanted to know what blogging really is. What is blogging? How does it work? and how can you make money? and if you make money then how? These are 4 simple questions yet can be really hard to answer, but I would appreciate any input. Thanks guys!!!!!
What is blogging?Blogging is basically an online journal. Your write about anything you want, people visit your blog, read it, and comment on it. "Blog" stands for "web log". How does it work? You have to sign up for a blogging platform suuch as wordpress, typepad, or blogspot. I personally perfer wordpress and host 2 blogs on wordpress. and how can you make money? You make money through advertising, writing sponsored post, selling links to your website, affliate marketing, and alot more. You can only really make money when you build up your readership.
Thanks Gelizzy88, Do you by any chance know how much people make by blogging? How do you get the word out about your blog?
Do you by any chance know how much people make by blogging?Incomes vary alot some people make chump change and some people make their entire living from blogging. But it takes dedication. Visit this site because it has allllooott of useful information. Good luck with your blog! Problogger And it you want to see one of mine, just click the link in my sig
1: Essentially any form of website that regularly receives content updates. It doesn't matter what topic, whether it is a personal reflection or business. 2: Read the above. You are essentially regularly updating and adding content to a website. Wordpress is the most common and recommended Content Management System to use when developing a blog. It was designed for it. 3: Through any means you find relative to your website. Paid Advertising or Selling Products are two very popular ways of monetizing a blog. 4: Continue to make money, continue building on what you have, etc. The amount of money you can generate isn't capped and can always be improved.
It varies. Someone may earn nothing while some people may earn hundreds of dollars per day, which takes me to the next point, advertising. The more you advertise, the more people will visit, the more money you make (whether it's through affiliates or any other program such as adsense).
Blogging is a great and easy way to enter the world of Internet Marketing. You can set up a FREE blog just to get started and post about any topic you are familiar with. Technically, you can make as much money with blogs as you can with websites.
I am actually debating starting a blog. I have been attracted to them quite a bit, due to their increasing popularity. Blogs are a great way to establish yourself in a particular field.
1.Blog is a platform that let you express your own view on anything you interested in. 2.Its used wordpress script. 3.I make money off blog by selling link at $20/month/link. 4.Sell the blog when the time is right.
okay so let say I created a blog, but how will people know about it? Do I post it on digg.com, twitter or somthing?
Blogs aren't just run on the wordpress platform, there's also blogger, moveable type, etc. You can advertise your blog various ways, and digg, and twitter are just examples. You could also put a link in your signature here, for example, and comment on other blogs.
ah i got ya... so people like john chow or problogger.net and neil patel (qukick sprout) or shoemoney.... how did they become so big? do you guys know anybody else who is up in top 20 or 30 list who is making a fortune from blogging? I think it would be good idea to see what they write about and learn from them.
Alright I'm going to talk generally about the bloggers you mentioned, except Neil Patel (never heard of him). Well, they all filled a generally vacant niche, and they all are good writers. Their writing is easy to read, is filled with personality, and is subtly persuasive, meaning it says "Listen to me, I'm right." You SHOULD NOT write what they write about. They became big because they became reputable in an area that didn't have anyone else reputable in it. You should learn techniques from them, but find your own niche that you are interested and knowledgeable in.
