Hi, I've been checking my rankings on 100 results a page and 10 results a page and the results are often quite different (I'm not signed into my google account). Is there any reason for this?
Depends on many things, can be data center, an index update cannot be proceeded on all those servers at the same time. I recommend you to check ranking via http://www.google.com/ncr if you don't want localization.
yes show patient. your site soon will be stable. it happen when google update results. You niche may be hot. so its showing on different results.
I dont think it is to do with data centres neccesarily - and the differences are only very small. It is literally one second to the next when i choose to display either 10 results a page or 100 results a page. thanks for the help anyway...
Yes I notice this too. For most of the keywords I happen to look for I find that when showing 100 results per page I rank a lot lower as most sites seem to get 2 pages in the results as opposed to 1 page when showing 10 a page.
Exactly Brian! At least you understand what I'm on about! Maybe its simply down to that then - in 100 results a page sites may get two pages shown in the results.
