Yes, they'll still spider your site, though you'll have to wait for a couple of weeks to see if a penalty shows up in the sitemapys admin section.
It's showing up as not banned on that, though I'd still want a definitive answer from google if it was me. It could well be indexing issues.
Actually this tool displays "Not Banned" even for those websites which are 100% ban.So not reliable tool.
Looking up Google for 'www.nichewatch.com' No results found, attempting a different look-up... The domain name has no PageRank value, it is LIKELY to be banned. The domain name has Backlinks yet no Listings. The domain name DOES appear to be banned. From: http://www.iwebtool.com/google_banned/?domain=www.nichewatch.com
And this brings up another question - If banned, why on earth would they ban Mong's site? It seems perfectly legit to me. This is just more nonsense from google.
I don't believe that any site get de-indexed without any major issue. I believe there is some ban or very severe penality on this site. And now i am more concerned to find the reason of this penality. Please have look at this page www.nichewatch.com/keywords.php do you think this page can be a good reason of penality? Because there is very less (indeed no content) except links.
Remove the word 'free' and the tripple '!' chars. Then email google for a re-inclusion. Also, ensure that you get new links on a daily basis.
Why on earth would that result in a ban? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=FREE+!!!&btnG=Google+Search
I've literally had 10 sites banned for absolutely no reason whatsoever - it's part of the game . Just lost a huge one today with unique content and all. Strange -_-. If I site gets banned, and you get it unbanned (somehow - and it does happen) it will be permanently penalized. I say drop the site and make a new one.
what do you mean by permanently penalized? I think if it is unbanned then there should be no reason of penality.
I don't think I've ever seen a site banned for no reason at all. It's strange you've had 10 banned and I've never had one banned in 6 years or more.
Dunno.. however my rankings improved dramatically when I removed all "free" words on my site.. I did it after an advise from a swedish SEO forum with many members that have qualified in the top in the V7Ndotcom Elursrebmem contest.
Were you targeting any keywords that inculded free? If not it porbably just added more on-page weight to your terms. Google certainly don't penalise or even ban pages for having 'free' on the page.
