If someone clicks multiple times on my adwords ad, will i pay for every click? How can i monitor that, Does google analytics show visitor's IP addresses?
That's click fraud and it's a serious problem. Google can usually determine this and bill you accordingly.
In most cases, if the clicks come from the same IP or are showing the same session (as in someone right clicks, saves the link and emails it to 100 friends) they will count it as click fraud or junk traffic and not charge you. However, for larger clients, I do recommend using third party tracking outside of Analytics. Looking at IP addresses helps, but also look at time spent on the site. If someone is on the page for less than 1 second, chances are its fraud or a site scraper just grabbing search results listings
To answer your question, no. Google only counts one click per client for a certain period of time. I think it's 48 hours. Within that time, that one click only counts as one click.
Yes. google really can detect all clicks. It is properly monitored. So no worries if that one has many clicks..it will not be counted.
There are plenty of softwares and websites that can help you monitor clicks frauds. Just do a google search and you will find what you need. I wouldnt be that worried anyway, clicks fradus was a serious issue in the past but now looks like Google can handle it.
Yes, Google took care of problems like that a couple of years ago when click fraud was a serious problem - especially when a competitor hired people in India and other offshore places to do that dirty deed.
No Google can't detect ALL clicks. How do I know? Because Google uses java script and java script is totally unreliable. They miss 5% to 10% of the clicks that happen and yes that includes AdSense too or anything that uses java script for tracking.
That would be a total lost for us if everybody just play clicking on our adword ads without purpose. At least there's a way for you to recover or claim back the loses of your adwords from google if you had such click fraud before. It's an ad tracker tool. Try go here:- >> AdWatcher <<
