If I change my host will it affect my page rank or google indexing?

I built my site using homestead site builder. I finally have the money to get a real web designer to redo my site. I have a Pr 1 site. Will I lose backlinks indexing and or page rank during the switch.

Ps. My domain is going to stay the same.

I need to know. Thanks

 

not at all just keep updating it youll be fine servers dont earn pr or rank lol

 

I think that having a Private Server has advantages to getting better rankings....

Maybe someone else knows more about this then i do?

What do you mean by build your own server?

Do you mean to literally construct the server out of hardware and then keep it in your home or office?

 

It doesn't make any difference as long as your page URLs stay the same.

Depending on the hosting location though does influence how you rank slightly. You host in the UK, you are more likely to rank better in the UK. It's not much but it's something to consider. If your target market is worldwide, and you're going to be hosting in the US then I wouldn't worry.
