Is it possible to make a profit using Adwords to send traffic to a site that only uses Adsense to earn revenue? Or must one also sell other products to show a profit? My apologies if this is a stupid question Thanks for any replies
Is not a stupid question but people has asked this a lot of time before. Just search the forum. The answer is no. You cannot profit from it.
Chances are less, unless you have some exceptional scheme. But what can work is adwords + affiliate combo. You buy traffic from adwords and send it to your affiliate network to get commissions.
The answer is YES. However, very few people make a profit buying Adsense clicks using Adwords. Your site needs high-paying Adsense clicks for a start and you would need to buy Adwords search terms that have been overlooked and are therefore inexpensive. If you can meet these parameters, ry it yourself, it's not an expensive exercise and you'll learn a lot along the way.
I think rod i right on this one... well i donmt have first hand evidence, but there are a few short pdf "case studies" going around where the author shows how they acheived this... basically you would have to get loads of traffic from CHEAP keywords and then land the traffic on related sites optimized for HIGH PAYING keywords on the adsense ads. i can guess that this would probably be the hardest way to make money unless you can you have some amazing resources/talent
like say the keyword "dimon housting" (very bad misspelling) costs .005 you can adwords traffic to a page optimized for "domain hosting" which get bout $10 a click for domain hosting inparticular, CJ is a better idea but just an exammple
I am trying to do this at the moment for www.placesun.co.uk, at the moment it seems to be covering the AdWords costs but I wouldn't say it's making a profit. Do you know if there any tracking tools that can tell you how many AdSense clicks were made from AdWords referrals?
shoemoney use earn money by using adword to drive traffic. However, his earning is not from adsense. check his entry, you might find some clue http://www.shoemoney.com/2006/04/08/the-1000000-experiment-with-ppc-part-1/
What your talking about doing is called Adsense Abitrage. Ther eis a full article here that will help explain how it works http://www.wolf-howl.com/sem/adsense-arbitrage-tips-tricks-secrets/
Hi There As stated earlier you are better to go down the adwords + affiliate program route. However - don't just send them to your affiliate link, instead send them to a squeeze page offering a free report/book/course etc. then stick them in an autoresponder with some good content. This way you can build a list to market to rather than a one hit wonder. Best Regards Baz
i wonder why you say that. Not that im can refute it but It seems very logical that you could do this with effort/research. and, as i said earlier there are many reports/case studies on this 1. get targetted cheap keyword traffic 2. send to site optimized for same themed keywords, but shows more expensive keywords via adsense
The answer is YES, surely. Want the proof? See a bunch of sponsored links at google.com, 80% of the lead to MFA, or Made-for-Adsense sites. There are tons of such sites: www.wisegeek.com, best4sites.net and many, many others. Some of these guys are so stupid or greedy, that they put adsense on contentless pages - this can cause them to get banned. I tried it, got from +100% to +450% of ROI, but dropped - last 2 months I had 5-digit earnings with adsense and decided not to risk the entire account.
In my experience, you can. When Google launched their Firefox+Toolbar referral programme, I, like some others, have set up a page showing a little bit info about Firefox next to a big referral button. My traffic only came from AdWords ad and I've made about 50% profit on it, until there was too much competition. Maybe you can try the same thing with Picasa.
Google may ban your adsense account for buying traffic from adwords or such programs. Search in adsense forum and you will find a story like it.
Haven't ever heard of this. Even if Google doesn't say it directly, it encourage this. Have a look, here's a quotation from Adsense officical documentation: Another quote from AdWords support center: Considering this, Google does allow MFA sites with content.
You wont... its just people with no experience and lack of education that think you will get banned from arbitrage. if you are ever in doubt just send google a email
I agree with Freddy and Shoemoney's posts. "MFA" sites are popular bashing material in the forums, but I think this really refers to sites comprised either exclusively of AdSense or a combination of AdSense and other advertising. There are many sites with the main goal being to generate AdSense revenue, but that also provide targeted content to users. These sites are no different than any other sites created to generate profit, be they selling a product, generating affiliate income, etc. I'm also unaware of any statement from Google indicating that arbitrage is a violation of the ToS. The real reason not to engage in arbitrage is that it rarely generates a profit. Sam
