Approximately what percentage of internet surfers use Macs?

I thought the working number was somewhere between 12-15% back around 2005, but what do you think the range is today?

    not true.
It was recently in the news, that Microsofts market share dropped below 90% for the first time in history. around 89.8%... so what could that 10.2% be...;)

Based on my research,i have noticed that there is slightly drop in the mac user that come to visiting my site compare to 2007.And the drop is a continuous trend which mean it is down trend from 2006 to 2008.This is due to many software is not supported by mac so many user switch to window

This is a very tricky question without considering an awful lot of factors. Remember, times have moved on from when only people with home computers can access the internet.

'Mac users' can also encompass iPhone/iPod touch traffic, which I suspect has a nice little carving of the market right now.

The latest stats that I could retrieve for Operating Systems (which should then be indicative of web traffic):

    88.68% - Windows
    9.63% - Mac
    0.85% - Linux
    0.44% - iPhone
    0.04% - Playstation
    0.01% - SunOS

If you're looking to do a site driven towards a particular kind of internet surfer, then maybe targeting Linux, iPhone or Playstation surfers may be reasonably lucrative. They have a small foothold in the overall share of the pie but considering the numbers of internet users, 0.04% ain't that bad...

    OS use shows the inverse IQ and wellness ratio of the world;

90% of humanity are total morons (and thus use windows as they are not able to comprehend more effective platforms), 90% of humanity did not attend university and usually doesn't go beyond highschool, 90% of humanity has mediocre, bad or even no job, 90% of humanity will never amount to anything.

9% of humanity has better than average jobs, can comprehend more intelligent, better made software, makes more money and lives in better neighbourhoods, 9% of humanity holds a higher or university degree or could get one with relative ease,

~0.9% (linux) are millionairs, very smart, a lot of billionairs, know how to learn/comprehend anything they set their mind to; can make more money if they want to (online or offline) without any problem,

~0.1% (sunos, bsd, amigaos) are godlike and don't even get online usually because they live on a higher plane of thought and consciousness.

Accidentally; the 90% is exactly why the 10% is rich; they are so incredibly ignorant of their existence that they give their money (the little money they earn) to the upper echelon (the 10%). Thank you Windows users! I hope Windows 7 use grows up to 95% ; more money for me.

People reacting to this mail in an aggressive or otherwise negative manner are obviously not getting the point and are thus using Windows pcs.

So 9% to answer your question!

Yeah because, as owner of a product, you would admit to not using it? Ofcourse Bill Gates will say he uses Windows whether he does or not. As Steve Jobs openly does not use Windows whether he does or not. Bill Gates actually advocated Unix (Xenix; check wikipedia) until they made that horrible crap they do now; wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't use Windows at all at home. So I think Bill falls neatly in the 0.9%.
