My site had a pr3 and has been pr0 for a few weeks. My site has many backlinks (the one in my signature) and many index pages so any idea why it has a pr0?

    Thanks.

Well in my oppinion your site is banned by google bot, mostly because of spam
I lost PR because of posting links in forums, and spamming with my links.
Just try to relax and wait up to 3 months to get back the PR. After that try to search for different IP links for your website.

This is a phenomena I've noticed in recent months. I assume many of the links you have are sitewides? Sitewide links don't pass much juice these days. If you want to go up in PR, you have to "marry up," just like you would if you were a poor boy who wanted to get ahead in society. Try to get links that are much higher than you in the PR food chain.

In other to rank very well in Google, you most get BL from quality and relevant site and not just any site. Good luck

Your site is selling links, which is a violation of the guidelines of all of the major search engines and which Google in particular is on the watch for. In addition, all of the pop-up/pop-under ads are potential problems - a couple of them are pretty nasty and may be seen as malware. In general, you need to be much more careful about what you put on your site. Go visit Google's Guidelines at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769 and pay extra attention to the section labeled "Quality Guidelines".

myths that where mentioned in this post

    1. if you have a low pagerank site links from high pr sites wont help it unatural try pr sites with similar or slightly high pagerank.
    2. forum links or any link to your website wont harm your website
    3. forum links don't carry much weight

If you are selling links no wonder your suffering

I agree with you. Selling links will always kill your pagerank. Wonder if the person was selling links when they had a pagerank of three. I highly doubt it.

I think you loads of back links with in short time, and those back links are not quality, that's why your PR down, you can build quality back links then you gain page rank.

While reading this thread No.2 caught my attention.. Could you please clarify in what circumstances would a back link from a forum harm a website? Can signature links harm the rankings or something?
