Adsense ban risk with too high CTR - Truth or myth?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Webberman, Jan 5, 2009.

On many occasions I’ve seen people stating that a high CTR triggers a warning with Adsense and that it might result in a ban from Adsense.

So far I’ve never seen anything that’s confirming that statement. Is there anybody here who can show a link to a credible source regarding the "Adsense banning risk when having too high CTR"?

I believe they can't put it in TOS, but, if they think something is weird with your account, they'll block your account.

Someone published story of a a guy that create a "adsense search" and put it several PCs at his school. Google simply banned him, without solid reason.

depends on how high you are thinking of. i had as much as 30% CTR on one of my site that i ran for over a year without any issues. my current overall CTR is 7%+. if your CTR is legit then there is nothing to worry about

It's basically a myth..nothing with high CTR or Low CTR bans anyone..But if something is weird or strange happening with your adsense account then probably your account will get a ban..

My CTR are in those regions also, so you can see why I'm wondering. It's 100% legit though - just a very good match of topic/content and ads.

Anyone else having a high CTR for a long time without problems?

if its a 100% legit CTR then nothing will happen to your account and google will not ban you unless they find someone from some ip is repeatedly clicking ads on your site....

It's not reasonable that the situation "someone from some ip is repeatedly clicking ads on your site" should lead to a ban (unless it's the same ip as the one administrating the account).
IF that situation should lead to a ban, then your competition or enemies could just put you out of business (regarding the adsense part).

    Am I wrong here?
