I used to between the age of 15 and 24 quite a few too, but quite 8 months ago.

The only thing I smoke now is the odd bit of weed each week, but same again until 12 months ago I did used to have a right habit all day everyday now it is just at the end of the week to wind down after a hard week.

I used to do that! Sit down roll out a few packs at a time...They are ok but loosen up pretty quick at times, especially if the tobacco gets dry and crumbly..

    hehe...old times

    Quit, the best solution..

I smoked for 15 years, and gave up 4 years ago and was addicted to mints instead. I use to smoke menthal cigarettes and i think I was more addicted to the mint taste than the nicotene itself

I am non-smoker, my dad smokes (1/2 or a full pack of 20/day), we asked him to quit so many times but he just can't, he'll stop for a day or two then goes back in!
Thank god my boyfriend doesn't smoke :)

The reason he carnt quite is cos he does not want to.

When you really want to quite it is easy. When your quiting cos others say you should quite you have no hope.

I have had a few different habits now and each of them I quite very easy simply cos I wanted to quite.

Johneva..I disagree. I quit smoking, I had wanted to quit for years before I finally did. What finally got me to quit though was something special, something that gave me a reason to, something to latch onto, something that was there for me, that something was to me perfection..

It made going from 3-4 packs a day to quitting basically cold Turkey..:)

Quitting weed is fucken HARD (going from smoking every day to cold turkey)

They actually say weed is not an addictive drug but I cant agree with that.

At the end of the day though, no matter what drug it is, it comes down to will power.

I found quiting smoking fags dead easy.

I found quiting smoking weed dea easy.

I found quiting coke dead easy.

I found quiting X dead easy.

I found quiting crystal meth dead easy.

I was taking quite a lot of each of them too and for a reasonable time too I would not think twice about snorting 3 gram of coke in one night at one point.

I still think it was simpley that I really wanted to quit where as other people say they want to quit but dont really. Granted I have started smoking weed again but that was after 10 months of non at all and even now I only have a bit at the end of each week where as I was smoking it all day everyday and main killers not splifs as splifs just waste weed, killers you use a third of the weed and get twice as high.

I suppose it is diffrent for diffrent people though aswell.

Not when it becomes a bad habit, and you do it out of routine more then anything. I only ever used to smoke ciggarettes when I was out drinking, so I can't really compare it.

I don't smoke and never will. I hate it when people smoke near me, it's just disgusting and damn right rude in my opinion. I can't wait until it's banned in public here.

What I don't understand is what pleasure do people get from putting something that damages their health in their mouth? I know people say it's addictive, but it's also pointless.

If you have never done it then you would not understand.

A lot of things are bad for you but it dont stop you doing it, does it?

Do you not eat food thats bad for you?
    Do you not drink alcohol?

But I do totally agree with you about the smoking near a non-smoker it is rude. (Well depending on the situation who was there first and such)

But I also think it is rude to say people carnt smoke in public I think there should be certain places that are for smokers and certain places for smoker haters.

I am not a smoker anymore but then I have no problem at all being in a place where people are smoking I think it is there right to smoke as much as it is your right to not smoke.

I understand, I've been there..but compared to cigarettes and drinking to the levels I used to, quitting pot was a cake walk..

I quit all 3 of them, most of my favorite foods and even my main beverage 'coffee'..

    :p
