I am not sure that email marketing works as well as it used to. I used to use it to sell Clickbank products and did pretty well, but then it fizzled out. I am not sure what changes I should make now. Personally, I delete every single promo email I get now out of habit. Perhaps others are in the same habit?

Sending emails by farming email addresses in this manner is called 'Spamming', and in many countries is illegal.

I try not to use email marketing because it tends to not get the results I want.

I think E-mai marketing is not very good, many people maybe delete your email directly without reading it.

But that doesn't really matter because it just means they didn't want the information in the first place. Email marketing is GOD if you have a quality list which you have nurtured which is why people like Mike Filsaime and Eben Pagen are able to sell high ticket items. Your email list is your most important asset.

Email marketing is a form of direct marketing which uses electronic mail as a means of communicating commercial or fundraising messages to an audience. Email marketing and online surveys from constant contact make it easy and affordable for you to connect with your customers and member.

No 2 email lists are the same, having quantity over quality doesn't really get you anywhere. You can take a high quality list of about 100k names and turn 30 - 60k a month without much problem. But the most important thing you can do is keep up list management with new information or else it's just going to die on you.

Harvesting emails off the net is a waste of time, unless you plan to bot net in which case make sure you live outside of the US for spam laws of course.

The list is what makes or breaks email marketing. Knowing that it's comprised of a a certain gender / age group / income level / buying habits makes a huge difference vs a list with all you know is the email address and that's it.

It can work but its not that worth it, many companies consider it as spam, and you have to own a huge email list to make some decent cash :\

Although one can easily buy or rent an email list, I really don't suggest it. Besides it's very risky, I doubt that one can make a good conversion by spamming. Email recipients are very smart these days.

If you really want to create an honest to goodness list, build a good reputation to them. The first step would to give something very useful for free, in exchange for their email addresses. Then, it's up to you on how you can convert them to potential customers. There are many effective ways to do it.

But more importantly, be sure that you will not spam them. Most of the times, email recipients think that you're spamming them but actually you're not. That's why you have to learn to avoid being suspected as one.

I think it would be better if you start a new thread, and you can expect a lot of replies. You could also browse older threads, and I am sure you will find related topics.

    Good luck!

Email Marketing would be partially effective if the Mailing list is an Authentic one. Basically, many people would ignore the mails which look like a promotion. These days everyone has improved their awareness in regard to receiving the promotional email and hence, they are simply ignoring the received promotional email just by checking the Email Subject. Therefore, according to my experience, email marketing would provide a low success rate compared to other marketing techniques.

As an Affiliate Manager I have had the opportunity to watch a lot of people make a lot of money doing e-mail marketing. If your list is opt-in and the people receiving the e-mails will happily read them you can make some serious cash :)

This is a VERY important distinction.

An opt-in list that you build yourself is MUCH more productive than a harvested or purchased list.

The opt-in list will generate profits if managed properly.

The purchased or harvested list will generate complaints and trouble.

ALWAYS go for building your own targeted e-mail lists of opt-in subscribers.
