I am absolutely convinced cb tracking is screwed up.

Get this-for my new product, i hadn't been getting any sales. Then after I get an affiliate who starts sending 100+ hops per day, I got around 3 sales per day under "no affiliate." I wouldn't be complaining because of the fact that i don't have to pay commission, but it messes with my product stats in the marketplace, and causes my affiliates to stop promoting...so it's terrible in the long run.

I just don't understand. Does CB want this to happen? Why do they not have any way for us to contact our affiliates? Is it so we don't discover how screwed up their tracking is!?

How do you know it's clickbanks fault?

Spybot has clickbank blacklisted so if anyone is using spybot then that automatically means the cookie isn't being set which means that the affiliate won't get credit.

But is that clickbanks fault or spybots?

I know what you mean though, it sucks either way!

That's what I thought too but it looks like they've changed direction and blacklisted clickbank again.

I really hope they sort it out, that will make less clickbank problem that we have to worry about :D

    hmmmm

does spybot only clean already stored cookies? or does it proactively block new clickbank cookies being stored?

Business is realizing that they don't really want affiliates, and all the earning potential can be gained buy themselves!

(think about the politics, the very rich will never allow too many independent individuals to succeed on there own), could this be why affiliate networks are dragging there feet, over this! this is why there is a social hierarchy in society, from the unemployed to the super rich !

You know I've been saying stuff like this has been happening for years..

I'm glad you came out and said it though, as a publisher.

It's sad I stopped heavily promoting CB because of just this, and just use free methods now. If things worked the way they should then there would be a lot more affiliates, and more sales coming in.

I would love being a publisher though.

I had a strong campaing doing 3-7 sales daily and in the last 2 days nothing and I've even sent more targeted traffic. I had this thing dialed too down to a few keywords popping sales left and right.

440 unique clicks and 0 sales, where I was getting 3-7 sales out of that many clicks. Of course didn't change anything in my campaign. Maybe it's just a bad 2 days.

***But... It's been 2 months since I've gone without more than 1 sale per day.

Let's put it this way: it's a problem that Clickbank's competitors don't have. That's what's actually relevant here to affiliates, and ultimately to publishers too, I think?

Actually I think CJ is on the same blacklist too.

If a couple of the bigger affiliate networks are on there don't you think it's just a matter of time before others get put on there?

Then what are you going to do, or who are you going to moan about then?

Actually it's quite ironic, today's the first day in months where I haven't had a single sale (as of yet anyway) but I don't really care, I'm off to write more articles and SEO some more sites.....

I'm working on my second one as well. My first one isn't on CB, but it sales well without it, plus CB wouldn't accept it.

I second one shouldn't be a problem. Yay free sales! :p
