Getting traffic from youtube

Hi

I just uploaded my first video to promote SBI site on youtube, I saw how you can tell about stats for my video but I want to keep up with what traffic coming from you tube. I have my sites domain name in the in the description section along with some tags. I uploaded the video because I read this is a good traffic building method but do not know how to keep up with the traffic to my site.. Please help..

 

You can always use AMA for this. It is quite an interesting way to take advantage of youtube promotion benefits. PM me for details if you are interested as it would take some time to explain. On the other hand, you can always promote your youtube links like all other links. This would bring in visitors and the video will appear in search engines. The more views the movie gets the more views it will generate in the future. The more views the movie has the more visitors to your web site.

 

youtube used to have live link to your site before but the link now yuo put on the description is not a live link anymore. so no one will be able to click on that link to visit your site. only way people can visit your site from yourtube is by copying your site url and then pasting it on the browser which will make it a direct traffic. too bad youtube started doing that as it will reduce youtube traffic to our site.

Youtube also gives a link back to your site if you bring traffic to Youtube. I have several Youtube back links by these means even. However, Google does Index them, though I doubt they help my Page Rank. You can find these back links that I'm talking about under the Statistics and Data Tab below the video.

 

Now, whether you believe it or not more searches are done through YouTube than through Yahoo. Posting a video about a hot news or topic and placing a watermark URL of your site would benefit it a lot. For your video to gain tons of traffic, it must be interesting and new.

What is a watermark UR

 

In reference to the benefit of giving a link back to youtube to get them to link back to my site, How is that done. Also what is a watermark URL

 

just put your url on top of the video you know faded on top of the content, watermark
