How to sell a Blogspot Blog ?

Hello,

Is it possible to sell a blogspot blog ? Is it illegal to do so ?

Also, what are the steps that we need to take while selling ? And by selling will our email id will also go ? Can we transfer the blog to another person from our bloggers account ?

It's possible to transfer ownership.

It's not illegal as in it's not against the law in any country that I know of! It may be against G's TOS though.

The way to do is is to add an additional administrator from your settings menu. That person will then have control of your blog including the ability to remove you.

 

yeah you can move a blog from one account to another account, just check your setting tab. there is an option to export the blog. you can sell it after that.. your email will remain with you, just read instructions carefully. More you can find at http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=97416

One way is to get a domain name and install Wordpress. After that, use Wordpress to import your Blogger blog and you can sell that domain + content away.

Search engine rankings might suffer.

It is against TOS to sell a blogger blog - remember you do not own it blogger.com does.

However there are still a lot of people who sell them anyway and you could probably get away with it but the answer to your question is yes it is possible and yes it is against TOS

Yes its possible to sell but if google found out and then they will delete your blogspot account.
You can ask the buyer to send you the money,and then you sent the buyer blogspot login and password.
By selling,your email ID will be given to the buyer and its not possible to transfer the ownership of blogspot account.

 

Sorry but I have to disagree there. You can transfer ownership and control without losing your email ID. You simply add the buyer as an admin in the settings control panel, then (optionally) delete your own access.

You can host a Blogger blog on your own site (just like a Wordpress one). If you do this, you own it, not Blogspot, and you're not bound by their terms and conditions. You can then sell the site however you like, just like any other website. Why live in fear of "being found out" and having the blog deleted when you don't need to?

 

You can not sell something that does not belong to you. That "blog" on blogspot, you do not own it, blogspot does.

A lot of other websites, such as youtube prohibit the sell of accounts.

 

I think in law, it's your "license to access and use" the blog that you'd be selling, rather than the blog itself.

But still a breach of the terms of service, as pointed out above. (And an entirely unnecessary one.)

I have couple of PR2 and PR3 blogs on blogspot that have about 150 - 200 visitors per day. I wonder how much I can sell them for? any ideas?

 

to sell blog its not illegal, u can sell but before its having good pr, good traffic and good reputation in search industry then people like to buy

 

would i value it just like a website? traffic, PR, links?

 

IMHO, you can sell off your blogspot if you have the exact technic and how you can JV doing that stuff..
