Hey folks, this is my 2nd contest on digital point since I was recommended by a friend, as I'm psyched at the quality of entries in my first contest! I'm looking for a large logo for a new game I'm making called Dig It Up. It's a social game which will be all about digging up treasures from different parts of the world. Basic gameplay is that you start off in your backyard with a normal shovel and start digging. As you find items and get experience you are allowed to dig in more areas with better digging tools. Eventually you rank up so high you can fly to the moon and dig there to find treasure. It's a simple casual social game. I'm looking for a logo that is kinda over the top majestic, or a super cool logo as if this is the best game in the universe, when it's actually just a casual social game =) One concept idea we had was a glowing shovel (DBZ style) in a piece of levitating land - but I'm looking forward to seeing your creativity. The full name (Dig It Up) does NOT have to be in the logo. You could use DIG, DIU, Dig It Up or no title. I'm looking for some concepts and then for a final copy of the logo, and the winner is most likely going to pick up extra work from us for other images in the game. Well this was too fun to pass up. I did exactly what you were thinking and it turned out kinda neat! It was done entirely in Flash 8 so you can animate any part of it if you chose to. Everything's on it's own layer and made into an easy to edit symbol The game sounds really fun! I love web based games. My sister and I run one of our own and I do pretty much all of the art for that as well. Oh if you choose mine I'll provide the fla. I'll even make adjustments should you wish them. That color on the BG is easilly changed or you could put this image transparently on your website. Up to you

Well I'm not sure what else i can do with the logo but I will certainly play around with it more! Would you want a background on it or shall I just stick to amping up the shovel and piece of land and text? I just got a fun idea as I was typing this, so I'm going to at least try that out. the site we run is www.wytheria.com. We do all the coding ourselves, too, so I apologize for some layout issues you may run into. It is a work in progress... but there's lots to do there I'll keep playing with this. I will show you an update later
Well it would be good without the words, and maybe just spruced up a bit more. I like it though =) Hey it's mainly just that we're looking for more of an image for the logo rather than the words.
no I don't have any specific colors in mind, it also doesn't have to be a traditional wooden shovel, let your imagination soar! Also another possible idea might be a little digger robot being incorporated...let your imagination soar (yeah whats with me and robots, don't ask lol)
The reasoning for the robot is that in the game you will be able to buy digerbots that are like your pets. They will be your 'companion' like in other games. You send them off digging for you, and when they run out of gas (or power) they stop digging, or when they find something, they stop and bring it back to you.
