It looks good to me the only thing i would say is use the <!--more--> tags in your posts so that you can put more articles on the front page and people like me who just skim over the articles can find what i need faster. I didnt go to the next pages... But other than that there is a lot of useful information on your site and i know the template is used on a lot of sites but it still looks good
I think the overall layout is great, the footer is a little big for my taste. But other then that it is very nice.
Thanks for the feedback, As the suggestions made by the DP friends,I change the look of the home page by increase the number of posts from 3 to 7 and reduce the visibility of the full content. Have any suggestions about the ad placement?
I like how you put more posts on the front page but i think there should still be pictures maby smaller thumbnails but they just make the post look better. And the ads are blended well but i would put some time of ads in the sidebar too but thats just me. Maby individual ads either 125*125, 250*250 no bigger though as you have alot of content in your sidebar already but overall i like the site
I would add the "how to", etc. drop down lists which are now right above the posts to the top menu next to "Archive". Other than that I think the site has a great design.
The advertisements above and below the articles ruin it all for me. It's way too obvious you're only making this blog for money. 5/10
Design Site is fairly pleasing to the eye and uses a consistent color scheme, but with perhaps slightly too many shadowy elements without which it may look even cleaner. What contributes significantly to the clutter are the advertisements embedded in some of the posts. It might be a better solution to move them either below or above, but not within the actual post frame and design a separate frame around the ads that makes them appear more distinct and less intrusive, while still fairly visible. I have to commend the sidebar with recent posts, popular posts and category listings as well as the box with search and RSS functions. The design of the bottom of the posts with the tags frame, nice "share / bookmark this" button and next/previous post links are also a nice touch. Comment form is also excellent. You have clearly put some effort in making it easy for people to browse the site, share posts with others and stay updated. Design Rating: 8/10 Focus As someone visiting the site for the first time it is clear that the site aims to provide useful articles about the use of Microsoft Windows Vista and XP with a focus on how to guides, tips and tricks. Categories and article titles are also descriptive so there's no confusion. This will also help with getting targetted google traffic. Focus Rating: 10/10 Content Articles appear to be presented in a format that first describes the involved subjects and then proceeds with the step by step instructions often featuring screenshots or even animations, which I believe will be appreciated by those looking for these solutions. The language is technical, but understandable and to the point, as is expectable from this kind of site, albeit it is unclear as to who their author is and whether they are original material. Perhaps pointing this out will increase the overall reputability of the site. There is one tiny grammar error I noticed here where it says "Sometimes this solution will works fine:". I don't wish to nitpick, just point it out in case you didn't notice. A small suggestion: make the images within posts center aligned and add a light gray border around them. I believe will improve the overall feel of the articles. Content Rating: 9/10 Overall An excellent site with lots of potential, but somewhat held back by the ads within posts and perhaps trying too hard with the shadows and gray gradients. With the suggested improvements, however, I'd be tempted to give it a 10/10. Overall Rating: 9/10 Cheers!
Great site, Great content. the ads take a bit much room, the ones in the upper side of the text... maybe better to how only the headlines like the ads in the bottom .
Neat layout, great colour scheme and if i have problems with vista which is more than likely I would definately go there from now on
The design looks good it's easy on the eye and the content is great however, I think the footer is too large.
I have noticed a problem with bottom left side hover . Also I felt it little longer . But , overall the design and content seems to be interesting .
its good.. but the height of the footer is tooooooo long.. I feel, the search box(though is in the header) looks hidden.. It doesnt look like a search box..
