Unranked to PR0 to PR3

Just a little curious about the Goog. I have a domain i created in April, It was cash parked at godaddy. On November 1st I put up some content, and began building links. I have 30 or so other domains all of them are at PR0, the last update I picked up a PR3 on the main domain, and a PR2 on a subdomain.

When i started my main site it was unranked, I never bothered to check the other domains i have since they too are all parked. but it appears that they are all PR0 as well.

My question is this. WHY? I dont get it. why would a site be updated twice in just over a month. Help a noob out would ya!

popawoody, a number of similar occurrences with pr jumps are happening with other people too. Google are constantly adjusting their algorithms for ranking and pr, so its not surprising that sites are increasing in pagerank and some are not. Just give it time and see what happens over the next few days.

Sounds like a normal Google action to me. Only Google knows why it does what it does.

PR of 0 is just ZERO dude, while a PR N/A means it's not yet assigned to that particular URL.

You probably got ranked on October 2008 PR update and many have reported minor PR last November 2008 which mostly dropped PR. Maybe your site was included on those two consecutive updates, and it occurs since last few months.

It has something to with the age of your domain. An aged domain has more weight on Google then a new domain.

Newly registered domains having some good keywords and backlinks pr is updated from n/a to PR0 often before normal Google PR update
