Huge Blogging Network

I've been thinking about starting a huge network of different niche blogs. But my question is this. Say if I wanted to have 50 different blogs all on their own domain name and most on different IP's. Should I start off with a hand full first and add a few more from time to time.

Or would it be better to start all of them at the same time?

And if I do either way, do you think I would need to hire help and if so how would I go about paying them?

Any help would be nice AND if anyone is interested in venturing with me on this shoot me a pm.

    Hey,

Take one whole year to reach the target.
If you start off with 50 domains, its a lot of investment and you cant work on all of them at one.
So register one domain a week, work on it for a whole week, add some great content, add some ads.

And then register the next. Also from time to time godaddy issues offers, check out for them and register them when they are cheapest

So i am year you have 54 weeks, take 4 weeks off and end up with 50 blogs

    Cheers and all the best

That's a big undertaking. I would do it on 50 sub domains (if you have a great domain) rather than 50 different domains and install Word Press MU so that you can admin all of them easily.

Pay bloggers by giving them rev share.

I wouldn't do them all at once, take it from me, it is not easy to find 50 bloggers that you can trust to post regularly.

If you intent is to sell the blog, I would suggest having it on separate domain for each of them.

what is your budget you want to spend on creating each blog? Do consider buying CC plugin in case you are intending to create so many blogs. It would help in creating professional quality blogs in less than 30mins.

Well....it depends on your overall goal. If adsense rev is your desired method of income then I guess you would want to retain a good portion, but, depending on the niche's that you will be blogging in, 50% seems a little more fair. If you have a blog, for instance on music....it doesn't pay crap for adsense so there is no chance of making much money at 50%, unless you have a crap load of traffic.

If you are blogging about insurance or mortgages, money , credit or other things that have a better payout, then it would be beneficial to the blogger.

I personally give 100%, but even still, finding reliable people, that are trustworthy is still a challenge. Most people want to be paid, up front to blog, and it just doesn't work like that without expertise or a degree in a particular field. (most "bloggers" don't understand that, and want guaranteed money regardless of performance.)

You will also be responsible for SEO and marketing of each individual blog, so that alone is a mass undertaking. You can't expect writers to do that as well for only 50% of the take, other wise they could do it for themselves for 100%.

There is no doubt that it has it's benefits for writers who understand the basic principles of search engines, so you will also have to filter out copy and paste article spinners who write articles in 2 minutes. That will not do any of your blogs any good without good content.

It has it's challenges, but it can be done.

Start small and build big. That's my advice. A network of 5 GOOOD / GREAT blogs is better than 50 crap.

I completely agree with the above post. It's best to keep things running with quality than quantity for blogs. If there is nothing to sell your blogs to your reader there will be no reason for them to keep coming back.

Yep! I do agree! 50 blogs means a lot of work/time/money/dedication

Thanks guys, I think what I'll do is start with 1 or 2 and as I see an increase in traffic and money bring in another 1 from there. I figured I might be starting a new blog about every month or 2 months.

I really do appreciate all the feedback and I'll keep you all informed on my progress.

I would take care of the major blog of the project/network (with major updates) + prepare 5 niche blogs (with 10/20 posts on each blog)

Then I would post daily on the major blog + I would post at least 1 post on one of the 5 niche blogs every day

I would also post summaries of the posts of niche blogs on the major blog and link to the whole posts

    .../...

I will say if u r beginner then start with a couple of blogs. Niche must relates to ur interest. If u will start 50 blogs at a time then how u will update them so frequently. In blogging ppl need new contents and if they will not find right contents then ur blogs will end up.

For example, if u have 50 blogs so u will do these tasks 50 times. seo, data entry, design, link building, marketing and so on. But if u have 5-10 blogs then it will be easy as compare to 50.

hehe maybe u will forget ur 40 blog names out of 50.
Note: if u need blog creation service don't forget to hire me. My rates will be very cheap for bulk blogs creation.

I mean a flagship blog (your most general/mainstream blog) vs. niche blogs

Oh ok well actually this is what I wanted to do and you tell me what you think.

~Have a site which will be the blogging businesses website and have updates and information on the blogs in the network.
~Will have different NICHE blogs which will all link back to the Blogging Businesses website stating it is part of our blogging network.

I hope that makes sense to you. If not let me know and I'll try to explain it another way. But if you got any feedback on that it would be great.

I seen something like it before but can't remember what it was. I think it was called something like the b5network or something like that.

Have you done a feasibility and profitability analysis? I don't think making blogs to generate adsense income is very profitable any more
