Hello everybody. I collect almost 700 music videos (most are dance,house like masterboy, milk inc, etc) in different formats..avi..mpg2 etc. all are mpeg2 and divx format. I wonder how i can earn with them?They are on 50cds (700mb) almost 30GB music videos.Is it worth time to convert and upload to high traffic video sites like youtube.,metacafe etc? edit: Mods please move the thread if this is not right place to post .
If they are legit then you can sell them on eBay, or, you can upload to youtube, create a music website and drive traffic, though i don't think it will be very much profitable.
With a video hosting site you can put ads and what not but I recently come across uploading.com at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=992823. I am going to add support for this for my script so that you can allow your visitors to download the files onto their computer. This will be a great source of income since everyone wants to be able to view the videos where ever they want.
all videos are captured from tv with good quality or downloaded from internet.So i still can upload or i will have copyright problems?
yes, you will have copyright problems. But if you look at youtube majority of the videos are copyrighted.
o thats a big copyright problem sorry but no money for you maybe if you upload a video of you doing a dance you could get 1 million hits on youtube
I think it's not a big problem to collect videos these days, if you are for a video site then uploading these videos to you tube is a big pain, better to show off other people's videos. Also video sites are not that great to make money since people don't tend to click on ads, I would avoid doing anything with those videos.
Easiest way is to find a media company that pays on a 'commercial' bases. You can take and put a 'commercial' at the end of the video and they 'pay you' on a per play basis. Secondly, place a small ad at the bottom of the video like youtube already does to drive traffic to a 'video' site, or even a 'lyrics' site. Create a 'lyrics' site that has the lyrics to all of the music video's that your pushing. Monetize it with Adsense to start with and then take the 'profit' you earn and hire a decent SEO consultant. (www.youkay.net) is the guy I use. To build the serp rankings on it. Alas, making money online isn't easy as 1,2,3. However, it can be done with alot of hard work. Good luck.
There are companies that won't mind if you put their music videos on youtube, even if they're watermarked (like universal music group), but others can and will enforce their copyright. I'd do a little more research on this. Selling them is a no-no, IMO.
sure video site will do the trick but you should know how to advertise it well then sure you can make money out of it.
here is something that can really really help you. but u must read it carefully and Follow. because I had tried it and it really worked : --> Very first, try editing videos. Put a watermark of your website over it. and dont forget to write a note something like "Promotional Video, All rights reserved with copyright holders" else you will face legal trouble. --> Yes, it is really a tedious job for 700 videos but try putting it to maximum of them. --> If you cant do, hire 2-5 people for watermarking and uploading. --> take a perfect video sharing host, glowhost, ffmpegplease, etc. and put ur site live. --> now, this is important. upload the watermarked videos over youtube, metacafe etc. create your channel and promote it from there. --> dont forget to make your websites look as professional as possible. --> at the start, dont think of earning itself. think of promotion. once people get used to your website, put some professional banners. --> if you need help with professional designing, marketing, programming, i can provide cheap and affordable service. let me know all d best

ya you can write something like "Promotional video only. For more promotional videos, visit: something.com" some zip submit methods may work too.. but think of them later on.. try selling premium memberships. recently I launched an adult video sharing website and i'll b selling premium memberships.. look this: www.desidekh.com I have tried making designs a lot professional.. so you can do this too.. get a highly professional design and start the work.. i can help you on that !
