Has anyone here had success with Article Marketing in the weight loss niche?

Is that the best strategy for affilliate marketing in that niche?

I ask because I have consistently ranked high for articles in other niches. In fact in a couple of my niches I own about half of EZA's top articles of the past 90 days.

Yet my articles in weight loss have gotten zero traction. Is it best to target extra specific long tails instead? I guess this is one of the biggest niches out there!

Whether articles or not long tails are essential for weight loss, this niche is HUGE with lots of competition (not just cb products but physical ones as well).

I have tried a lot there with fatloss4idiots but the conversions were horrible.

I try to target keywords with my weight loss articles so that they rank in the search engines. So I normally go for long tail keyword targets to have a good shot at it. Plus more specific keyword targeted articles tend to convert into more sales. One of my goals with my CB diet product is to have specific landing pages created for all of the most important long tail keywords because it seems like this will help improve conversions (for both me directly and for affiliates.)

Weight loss is a huge niche, and I'm sure there are lots of different long-tails with low competition.

Just do your keyword research properly, and you should be able to find something decent.
