Alt or Title?

What would you recommend for the links alt="textexample" or title="textexample"?

If it is on image, should be a keyword..

 

But alt or title?
What about if it's a text link?

 

I have several blogs usin wordpress system.

In all images that I published, I used alt an title tags, but I realized that wordpress removed title tag, using only alt tag.

I wrote same content in both tags: a phrase containing some important keyword describing my image.

Well, for some reason, wordpress thinks that alt tag is more important than title tag.

 

Thanks, I just did some research and now using title tags for text links.

 

Use alt tag for images and use title for both images and text links. The title text will be show when the mouse goes over the link or image as tooltip text.

 

I think if it is text tag then use title and if image then go for alt

 

alt tags are most important for images.my celebrity blogger blog was getting about 400 visits per day from google image search for about 4 months till one day i overdid seo and everything was spoiled including google SERPs.that was the day i learnt the significance of "too much of anything is good for nothing "

 

Yeah, agree with itcoll, use title for links, alt for image. After all the proportion of the text is important. We shouldn't use much more tags is our html.
