    Could take few minutes, could take years :)

    It all depends on three things mainly;
    ~ How competitive the keywords are - You can rank number for "super-long-useless-keyword-that-no-one-searches" in matter of minutes ;)
    ~ How well you do your SEO
    ~ How you go about your business ... blackhat/whitehat/greyish

    It's better to make a quality website and spread it through all your contacts and forums and add sites...as soon as it gets popular it will be indexed...remember if you want to visit google, you don't go to a search engine first...it's like that

    Excellent work ErnestHemingway!

    A PR6 is awesome, and 30 seconds to 1 minute index time is even better....

    How long have you had your website established, and what did you do to make it so succesful?

    Frankly, I've never tried blackhat and never plan to, so it's not my area for discussion.

    However white hat, is your typical social bookmarking, article + directory submission, in-bound links, relative content and on-page SEO.

    Grey hat techniques, are obviously methods that fall between the other two oppositely colored ones but it's use is debatable - whether it's good or bad.

    I've used white hat through out my websites, and they have worked out well :)

    Theres a difference between getting indexed and getting on the page 1 of google for your keyword. Yes you can be indexed and on page 1 of your keyword if its none competitive within 6 hours. If its a competitive keyword youll be lucky to be there in 6 weeks!

    I use twitter, digg and the google webmaster tool and my pages get listed very quickly. You can find serveral other tools to achieve the same results anyway, these are just the most common ones.
