Conversions are good today...I added an image to the payment page and I think it had a big impact. So here is a publisher tip- Add an ebook image to your payment page. It increases the conversions.

A lot of people PMed me to promote my product using adwords but most of them had a very low quality score or were just starting out. Here is something in crystal clear detail and will clear up most of your doubts....

My Guide to Perfect Quality Score- ​

The reason why some people have a low quality score is only due to the fact that their keyword, ad, landing page and landing page link aren't relevant to each other.

For Example my main keyword is- "get ex back"...Now in order to have a perfect quality score my ad title, ad text, landing page url and landing page content should contain the keyword get ex back.

Here is a sample ad-

So you see the keyword get ex back is in the ad title....The ad description which is the ad text and the landing page url.

But this is only half the job done.

Next you need to get your landing page in the right order...Now on your landing page you must have the keyword "get ex back" in the landing page title...In your Meta keywords...Meta description and the headline of your pre sell page.

After that sprinkle the keyword "get ex back" throughout the landing page and keep the density around 3% which is acceptable by Google norms.

Which means if you have 100 words in your article then the keyword "get ex back" should occur 3 times in the paragraph. A good way to check your keyword density is to use this tool- http://www.keyworddensity.com/

Now let's come down to ad groups....Most people add hundreds of keywords to their ad groups and think why am I being slapped with $10 clicks?

You should select one main keyword that would be the name of your ad group and then find 4-5 keywords which are related to it which means keep the main keyword as the common keyword.

So in this case the main keyword is "Get ex back" and in our ad group now we will add the keywords-

Get ex back
Get my ex boyfriend back
Get my ex girlfriend back
get your ex back

So you see the main keyword get ex back is present in all of them...And this is a tightly packed highly targeted keyword list therefore it will give you a good quality score right away.

Now let's come back to the landing page....Google expects you to have a site which looks like a website and not a single page pre-sell. They want your site to have multiple pages and multiple links.

A lot of people just get a privacy policy, terms and conditions, contact us page and think it would work out well but Google still wants more. Yes you must have all these pages and you can use a privacy policy generator right here- http://www.dmaresponsibility.org/PPG/

They want you to have extra content on your site and the best way to do this would be to add an article page and write down at least 5 articles around the niche of your landing page. Yes this might be a bit of work according to some but do this and you will never have to worry about quality score ever again.

It is also said that having a wordpress blog with articles attached to your landing page helps a lot with quality score as well.

But sometimes even after getting everything right google still might be giving you a low quality score...In this case delete all your campaigns etc and buy a new domain.

This time around before you submit your ad make sure you write some articles and submit it to a few article directories with a link pointing back to your landing page using your main keyword as anchor text.

For example our main keyword here is- get ex back therefore your link back should have the anchor text as get ex back. Not only will this help you with SEO but will definitely give you perfect quality score.

But wait....We aren't done yet. Even after all this if your CTR that is your click through ratio is low google will still slap you with heavy clicks. Good ads can easily achieve a CTR of 4%+.

Now how to achieve that? Well a lot of the ads on adwords are quite boring for example let's use my keyword and make an ad-

This ad is not only boring but as a customer I would never click on this.

A funny thing happened today...I just went to register pullyourexback.net , .info, .org etc....All have been already taken. Cheez...You guys are fast to jump on it. Even the owner can't buy his own brand name anymore.

 

Very succinct PPC starter tutorial Ryanman, I can see you really want your affiliates to succeed! + rep to you...

I might add two things:

2) Try to visually bury the extra content links from the visitors path, unless you are very good at steering people around a page.

The idea is to get the visitor to click through to the product page in a calculated fashion. Do not provide leaks where the visitor can get bored or distracted and leave.


2) Don't give up too soon. It can take a while for a campaign to catch a good ROI. Be prepared to see the numbers climb in your ad spend before the sales data starts making sense.


You've pulled off a great launch, I'm thinking of jumping on board now too!

Additionally it's good to pay more per click early on in your campaign as that would help get you higher rankings and once google witnesses you are getting good CTR it will automatically lower your cost per click with higher rankings and wipe your competition out of the scene.

I would be more than glad if anyone else would like to add something more to this.

 

Great PPC tips. PPC can be daunting as getting it right usually requires a lot of trial & ERROR but I think you've laid it out in a pretty understandable way.

A Brilliant Adword Trick-​

Most people always struggle to know whether their landing page is targeted or not unless they actually submit their ad. But there is a very high chance that it might not be targeted and can hit your quality score.

Here is a great way to check whether google will give you a good quality score or not even before you submit the ad.

Head over to- https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

And then click on website content...Then enter your landing page and see the keywords google suggests. If the keyword it suggests are the one's you targeted for your landing page then your quality score is good but if it does not show any of the keywords you have optimized your page for then you need to re-optimize it. Hope you find this useful.
